At our Bowling Green, KY location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

EDIT: I was asked to contact them via email, and I did. It’s been days and still no reply!
DONT GO HERE!! The floor is sticky when you walk in. We ordered water with our meal. The button for water in the pop machine is busted. We found a way to make it work. My husband and I split a Supreme Sampler meal. With a baked potato. The cashier was nice and efficient. Food came out fast, before we got back with our water. So, food was pre-made. It was all going OK. Then I noticed a fiber in my potato, at first I thought it was a hair or an eyelash, I took it out. Then another one was there. And then another! I saved the potato for last, so I was disappointed. I went to show cashier and she asked if I wanted another. No, I didn’t. I just can’t think about eating a different when this one had stuff in it. So, she went and got the manager. Her name is Kalaya( don’t know the spelling).
She asked if I wanted another potato, again, I said No. Not with it having stuff in it. She asked what Then. I said a discount on our meal would be fine. She said , “well, you ate most of it”. I ate some of the potato before I realized there was fibers in it! She got lippy. She eventually gave me .99 cents back. I told her that was not good enough, but was leaving anyway. I couldn’t hear everything she said as she went in back, besides that she told me to “Shut up!” . She is obviously too young and inexperienced to be a manager.
Maybe she likes objects in her food. I, on the other hand, do not!

Best Captain Ds around. Pieces of fish are large. Everything was hot and fresh. Staff were very friendly and super efficient. Awesome job!

Don’t go here if you expect good customer service, cleanliness and good food. You’ll receive none. Also don’t believe going to management is helpful. Never had a good experience here. I will no longer spend a dime with this company.

It’s Captain D’s. With that said, I do have a hankering for some fried fish, shrimp, and hushpuppies sometimes, and I will say this meal scratched that itch. My fish and shrimp were fried perfectly, and they have the best hushpuppies in town. However, I forgot how bad the fries were, and my green beans were cold in some bites, but seasoned well. Little bit of a wait and the restaurant was decently clean. Water tasted like seltzer and was not good. With that said, it was a good meal overall thanks to the seafood itself. I don’t recommend venturing far from the fried goods..

Jumping right in on this one guys,i want to apologize to the mgmt and staff of this Captain D’s. I have been ill and had forgot to do this most excellent review. I am not sure but here goes when i walked in i was greeted with a warm family greeting. I could not find my card for ordering Tony was like sir its ok please sit relax i did i found the card. Ordered but ordered wrong mine was not t9 have crab. That was totally my fault. They gave me no trouble at all. They actually recooked my food . it was amazing. Ann was there Not real sure of mgr. Name they were perfect and the place was really clean.This is 2nd captain ds this week wow perfecto wonderful. This place has actually got my attention now. Well guys as i like to say come on down give the folks at captain ds a try you will be glad you did. Well i ll see you down the road.

The hush puppies, chicken, and butterfly shrimp were good. The coleslaw and fish were okay. The steamed broccoli unfortunately was inedible, as it was frozen instead of steamed.
I could have gone 3 stars or better if the broccoli were edible.

HORRIBLE ! I came here for a pick up and the boss lady on nights looked at me confirm my order then snatch my food out my hand saying I didn’t confirm it ! I had to call the coustmer he even tried talking to her about the order she still wouldn’t give me my order ! She’s very rude told me she didn’t care, to get out the store didn’t give me her name ! Y’all should go back and watch the cameras on Friday night and see how embrassing she’s looked ! She doesn’t deserve that position at all ! I work fast food Iknow how things should be handled and what she done should not be tolerated ! Seemed a bit racist! I’ll be contacting the store owner about this issues, I’ve picked up multiple orders before and never had this issue ! I see why no one wants to work for her just pitiful !

Came in tonight @845 doors locked even though sign says 10 someone was mopping at the front door so I went to the drive-through still no answer so I saw people in there decided to do an online order. Again went to drive-through no one answered went to the window no one came for about 10 minutes then that older lady with grayish blonde hair in a bun- opened the window and said online order?? and I said yes may I please have some honey mustard she slammed my food on the table After trying to hand it to me, aggressively unwrapped my food threw my honey mustard in the bag and didn’t say thank you have a good day nothing Just eye rolling! I was still really nice but she was the most hateful lady I have ever dealt with at any establishment.
