At our Murray, KY location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I called today about my food. I ordered 2 piece fish an okra. They gave me broc. The hush puppies were had. . They didn’t answer. So I sent msg. They blocked me. The woman at drive thru was slow.

Staff were great. Were busy however wanted to be sure customers have what they want & needed. The lady with us wanted her okra fried more & they quickly did so. The redone okra was perfect, we now know how to order how she needs it. Everything was great service & food, locate was very clean.

The ladies there were wonderful! So polite, doing their best to make it as cheap for us as possible. Brought the food out in a very timely manner. Store was clean, music was old timey and fun Had me and the kiddos dancing in our seats while we were eating. Will definitely be back!

It’s the third time I’ve been there, it’s always been great, but this last time I ordered the three-piece catfish combo and they gave me this small thing. I went back to clarify and they told me they’ll fix it. I said thank you and went back to my car. It’s frustrating to see that they gave you the same thing, nothing like the previous visits and they still serve you as if you were asking for something free, a very bad experience.

First and last time coming to this location.. It shouldn’t take almost an hour to receive your food in a restaurant that has 5 customers in it.. And being told they have items that are frozen but can’t make them and won’t replace with another item.. How does a fish restaurant obviously not busy run out of hushpuppies? Somebody needs to come to this restaurant and make some big changes

Wow in over 30 years and never saw this restaurant so disgusting. Dirty floors and tables and chairs scattered. Out of forks and out of chicken. How do you run a place with essential items. Finally the rest room not working omg

I went through the drive through after shopping. I hadn’t been there in a long time, so I thought I would try it. I waited a few minutes for the guy in front to give his order. Finally, after waiting for someone to take my order, I then waited 15 minutes for the guy in front of me to get his order. I pulled up to the window and the workers ignored me for another 5 minutes. I finally got my order. I ask for tarter sauce, and was given a dirty look. Checked my bag to see if everything was there. Opened box, and saw the smallest piece of fish with 5 shrimp. You would think they would put a sizable piece in, if the order has one piece. My partner also received a very small piece with his shrimp. Worker at the window had a bad attitude. Never apologized for the long wait. We will not be going back.

On July 24th, 2025. I went to the back drive through to place a order. I waited 10 minutes. Drive back & Forth, no answer. So drove around the building twice. Still no answer! There was 2 other cars behind me they drove off. So I drove around to pickup window. The person had her back me playing on her cellphone. So I honk the horn. I ask her why she wasn’t answering the intercom. “ oh it’s broke” there is NO NOTE ON THE SPEAKER” and I told her that. She never apologized. I placed my order. I have never had a bad experience here, till now. After I got my order. I drove back around to see if she put a sign up like she promised. And she never did!
I got home and my food was so small. I ordered the chicken & fish dinner. $13.46. I want be back until you get some good workers in there. This is the store in Murray, Ky, by Cold Brew!
