At our Hazard, KY location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

The food is always great and better than the other seafood place in town. I had a mishap with the order this time, they forgot to put the chicken in my supreme samplers but the cooks were very apologetic and everyone was so nice and genuine. Best customer service ever even when they have a small mishap they make up for it, unlike most places in town when they mess up.

Good service, friendly staff. Good menu, mostly seafood, but chicken is good as well. If you can return ask for coupons. Senior menu and specials on Wed. And Sun. Food is usually well prepared and fresh. Love the salmon patties, corn on the cob. Mac and cheese and big baked potatoes.

The staff here are very friendly and accommodating. The food is always made to order, which does increase the wait time but it’s well worth it.

Everything was good except the pop was hot, and the salmon cake has way way to much salt on it. It tasted like they put a whole salt shaker on it, and people who can’t eat salt then that is danger for them. They did fix 2 without the seasons on it for me, but i will never order one again, they are not worth the money for 1 of them and i did not like them at all.
