At our Florence, KY location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

We went for lunch yesterday in the drive thru. The young man taking our order was very efficient and polite. The food was freshly made and hot. It takes a few minutes to have freshly made food which I am more than happy to wait for. The quality and value can not be beat. Thank you all for your hard work. It’s much appreciated. To the owner ~ we know it’s been a struggle but we are glad you are still around 🙂

I pre ordered my lunch from this location at 9am to prepare for my lunch at 12:00pm. As it got closer to my lunch time my order still wasn’t being put together. At 12:10 I get notified that my delivery time has been changed to 12:37-12:57pm which is PAST my lunch break. But I figured I paid for it I would figure it out. My dasher gets there and tell me that they told her she was waiting for it. Another 15 mins goes by I asked about my food she then informs me that the cook in the back keeps telling the front staff that all the door dashes will be waiting cause he isn’t making that food yet. I use to be a GM of a restaurant recently. This is unacceptable customer service. Deliveries are paying customers just like your guest inside

The food was fresh, made to order. I had the fish and chicken meal. 2 pieces of perfectly fried fish and 3 crispy chicken tenders. You are able to order different sides if you don’t want the fries or Cole slaw. Can you ever have enough hushpuppies? I think not! They are divine.
The place was clean and tidy, however, it looks like its due for a makeover.

The one and only reason even ONE star is being given is because I can’t leave a review otherwise We are in town to support a family member who lost their mother. We ordered food ONLINE.. their hours states they were open until 10, called in order at 7:45, told it would be ready at 8:06….why when we get there is only ONE person inside, cleaning, IT’S CLOSED doors locked. When she finally did us the courtesy of opening the door we were told “our entire crew is new so they were let go early.” Excuse me?! Who did you communicate with to okay that, and then you don’t shut down the online ordering system? You took my money and now I have to go through the hassle of contacting my bank in order to get my funds released. How incredibly unprofessional.
