At our Pearl, MS location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I come to this location often and never have issues. Everything almost taste as it should. Wait time is normally pretty good and the staff has never given me any issues. Mostly I come here for the number 1 which is the big fish sandwich combo.

I’m so upset that this long standing staple food chain has gotten this bad. The hush puppies are absolutely horrible. I don’t know what they have replaced them with, but change it back. The okra isn’t fried hard and had so much salt on them. The chicken tenders were smaller than my baby finger. The fish has no taste. I’m so disappointed. I haven’t been in a while. Didn’t know they had gotten this terrible. The green beans is just straight out the can. The only thing still good is the breadsticks. Fix it all back to like it was.

1/6/25, their new fish and shrimp combo was very disappointing. One overly fried fish strip and 5 wee shrimp, cold fries, tea, about $11. Ridiculously priced for the return. Never again at this location. Should have stuck to my trusty ham sandwich.

Normally the food is delicious but today it was terrible. The fish didn’t even taste like fish and it was cold and tough. The fries were cold and tough. The rest of the food was very good.

This is the most disgusting unprofessional place ever. I ordered food that children and I began to ingest and what do we notice it is hair wrapped tightly around some of the fish.! Imagine how we feel to be have ingested so much of it. So then I go back to the store the employee proceeds to tell me her supervisor told her since I ordered online he can not do a refund. Then ask if I want more food? To risk eating hair again no. I will never go back here again and unless you won’t to eat hair you shouldn’t either

Food was cooked hot and fresh to order, and the staff was very friendly! We don’t always go, but my son had some coupons, so he wanted to try them out. He was VERY happy that he did!
