At our Vicksburg, MS location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

We went thru the drive-thru in Vicksburg, Ms. we waited 20-25 minutes, and while we had a little bit of patience, we saw from 3-6 vehicles that were behind us in line pull away. There was a gentleman at the speaker that even blew his horn, but was never acknowledged and he finally pulled away. We have NEVER waited that long in a drive thru no matter where nor the time of day!!! This experience was the 2nd time this has happened at this location. We will think very carefully before we go back!!!!

I went to Captain Ds and bought a LOADED baked potato and payed 4.59 and when I got home to eat I looked at this potato and I said “This is not a loaded potato” it barely had toppings I also called them 3 times but nobody picked up

I Ordered the two piece, fish, dinner, coleslaw, and baked potato. I ordered two stuffed crab and a Dr Pepper. The potato is rotten. I mean literally rotten and it is hard as a brick. My food is cold all except for the crab. They’re nice and warm, but the fish is cold. Cold cold hush puppies are cold. Horrible horrible horrible. The only good thing I can say about This captain ds Is that the girl that took the order was awesome. They forgot to put my crabs in the bag so she brought them out to me as I was pulling out of the lot.

Ordered food at 6:20p paid 8 minutes later. Then the girl asked me to pull up… There was no one else behind me at the time. So I did. 40 minutes later they finally brought my food out and shoved it in my window without a single word. I witnessed two cars almost get slammed into trying to pull around me where they had me wait. Whoever owns this restaurant needs to ask your employees to stop this practice of pulling cars forward. You do not have room at this location and someone is going to die! Now back to the food. Cheese sticks were so cold I didn’t even attempt to eat them. Plus they didn’t bring out the marinara I asked for at the window. The fish and fries were not the best but at least edible. I will never go back to this place. Just hoping no one dies in a car crash.

Crab rolls were pretty good, mac & cheese was alright. Place was pretty clean, even the bathroom, just wasn’t no soap or towels in the mens restroom.

The service and atmosphere were great. The fish we received had a flavor as though it was fried in old grease and didn’t have the signature Captains D’s crunch associated with their fish. The batter just wasn’t what we expected.

Only one person working front counter and drive thru during lunch. Had to wait for food and she had an unpleasant attitude.
