At our Crossville, TN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Went through drive thru and ordered Supreme Sampler meal – it is supposed to have- 2pc chicken and 2pc fish 6pc shrimp! I get home and no shrimp, no chicken an three pcs of fish.. called three times no answer and unable to leave a message cause no voicemail!! What hapoened to land line???

They have the best fries I’ve ever had and I’m very very picky about my fries. They have to have the right crispness, salt and be the perfect temperature. These fries were perfect! I was so surprised but pleasantly so.
The fish was nice and crispy on the outside yet tender and flaky on the inside. I will definitely be returning!

We hadn’t been to a Captain D’s in awhile, and found ourselves trying to decide where to eat, so we thought we’d give them a try.
First let me say that the customer service was top notch! Better than many more popular restaurants. Everyone was very friendly and polite.
The restaurant was very clean, even the Latrine, while old, was very clean. I’d much rather use an old clean Latrine rather than a new dirty Latrine.
The fish was really good, but in all honesty, I didn’t enjoy the shrimp. It really didn’t have any flavor.
And sadly, the gumbo was 90% rice. While it did have good flavor, I really didn’t want a bowl of gumbo flavored rice.
Overall it was a pleasant experience. The customer service and cleanliness alone make a return trip possible.

The Apparition
I got the biggest fish sandwich of my life here yesterday. They brought it to my table I thought they were trying to feed Andre the Giant. It made me look back at all those fish filets I’ve bought from McDonalds and ask why I’ve been punishing myself. The restaurant was clean and the girls behind the counter were pleasant and on task, I made a good decision coming in for dinner.

If you go here, you better check your fish and make sure its done all the way. I used to love coming here until they literally served me raw fish!! I stopped coming here for a couple of months figuring maybe it would be better. Once again the fish was not done. My boyfriend went in there to get his money and back and was told he had ate half the food. Sorry he didnt notice the fish was raw until after he ate half of a piece. Heaven forbid you eat something your exoecting to be cooked thoughly. I dont know if they pay attention to how much food they put on a tray or if their just ignorant but thats ridiculous. I’ll never eat here again and would not recommend anybody else eat there either. Their rude and they will serve you raw food.

This is a nice place. We hadn’t been to this location before. The two women behind the counter were great! The food was very good We had the original 3 piece and the 2 piece spicy. It was fast it was hot and we really enjoyed it. We really had no great expectations but were very pleasantly surprised.

The whole crew there (minus a select few)employees and extremely rude they have a darker lady up there who told me and my friends we need to learn proper English before coming to this county and proceeds to walk away I could hear he cussing to her fellow coworkers

Our favorite fast food restaurant in Crossville. Delicious fish, chicken, hush puppies, Cole slaw. Extra clean dining room. Friendly, helpful and attentive service. Very reasonable prices with regular specials and discount Sunday!
