At our Jackson, TN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Service was great atmosphere was great. Food was ok but they could’ve gave me a little bit more food very skimpy on the meal that made me very upset I paid $7 for this I barely got fries. The fish was small and not cooked all the way captain D you guys need to do better. $5 baggie at Wendy’s gives you more food than this.

THE FOOD IS AMAZING HERE!!! So I know we have all been to Captain D’s and gotten those soggy nasty fries and bitter Cole slaw but HONEY not here. The fries were amazing the slaw was perfect as was our fish and hush puppies. We came thru the drive thru at closing and am so pleasantly shocked at the wonderful food and nice woman at the window. Way to go on showing out for Captain D’s y’all!!

The food was really good the first weeks after their grand opening but now the fish is reheated like a microwave dinner. The fish is not the same size as it is the menu. The French fries are hard and tastes reheated. The prices are still good it’s just the quality of the food has dropped. I notice people bringing their food back because of the taste. The older cooks are the best cooks. Those young cooks need more experience on the grill. Jackson is the type of town where people spread the word about the best eating places.

I’ve really come to like Capt D’s. I’ve been to several other ones over the past few months. I would have to say that the food here was not as good as the one in Millington or in Paris Tennessee. But it was still good and had great service. But I would have to say that if you are ever in Paris Tennessee, it’s definitely worth the stop.

Restaurant was clean, server was nice. However when the food came (which took a long time), it was poor quality.
This restaurant is less than 6 months old and looks like it’s 16 years old.

My husband and I had dinner here tonight and was so impressed by the cleanliness, and friendliest fast food facility we’ve been to in a long time. Our orders were hot, fresh, and delicious!!!

My wife and I tried the new Captain D’s location in Jackson, Tennessee Sunday afternoon after church. I was reminded how captain D’s food taste compared to LJS. The food and service at this location was great. It was extremely busy at the time, but they seemed to have it all together. The dining room is very small and the one person at a time restroom I’m not a big fan of.
I will definitely be back. Keep up the great work!

I stood behind someone ordering at the counter, the cashier turns around and does not say a word to me. Leaves me standing there for 5-7 minutes. She is handing out orders she has already taken and then she goes to the kitchen to fix a plate that she thought was wrong. She comes back to the front, still not acknowledging I am standing there. I turn around and walk out. Very very RUDE! I do not like service like that. 1st time there, last time there.

We went there today. I love the one out South but the location on Chloe Place has some work to do. I had the fish and shrimp plate and my husband had the chicken and fish. My fish was under cooked and smelled fishy. My Shrimp was over cooked. My husband found his chicken to be over cooked and dry and his fish had a strange taste to it. I truly hope this was just an off day for them. Also, why is it so hard to find a phone number for them?
