At our Memphis, TN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

We’re from out of town, pulled up to view the menu and asked them to hold for a moment. The girl said ok, let me know when you’re ready to order. A minute later she said “if you’re not ready to order, you need to back up and come back when you’re ready”. Girl please, I’m not backing up. There was no one behind us but about 3 cars in front of us. When we decided what we wanted to order, she didn’t answer us at the speaker. Ghetto and unprofessional. This happened Sunday morning June 21st around 1pm.

I placed an to-go order at Captain D’s and when I got home my fish were soaked with grease, I soaked it up with paper towel, I realized I could not eat this with so much grease so I returned it and they replaced it the same way. Stop being so cheap and change your oil it’s ridiculous to serve food this way.

The Lady Was Very Nice At The register the Manager where making the orders so when I received my food I received little to know fries so I ask for just a little more The Manager said okay but did not add any at all real tight so I end up getting really no fires when I first walk in a Ask for fresh fish sandwich and fires the manager said everything is fresh but that was not the case at all got home no fries really and fish was not fresh and hot not at all. They literally gave me a molded potato as if I would not notice this.
Edit: I gave them another try today ordering on DoorDash. DoorDash doesn’t give you the option to replace the hush puppies for a bread stick so I called the store and asked if they will do it. They did! When I received my food it was exactly how I asked. The new staff that they have now does care about your food delivery & I appreciate that.

I order 2 fish,fried okra , hush puppies the hush puppieshad black stuff on it and look old the fish was to greasy, the fried okra was old, captain d cook she had a nasty attitude,on crump and third street Memphis, TN all the employees had nasty service never going back the customer service is really really bad.
