At our Dickson, TN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Went through the drive through tonight and the family had batter dipped fish, shrimp and chicken. The staff was very friendly and the orders were all filled correctly. When we got home and ate, we were all very pleased. The fish fillets were considerably larger and better than ones we had gotten before. The shrimp and chicken were also very good. The sides were also very nice. The food was all hot and fresh. I recommend the you this Captain D’s. Be nice to the workers and I have no doubt that they will be nice to you.

Ist time inside in a while. The lady that took our order was not customer friendly. The food was good. The store needs attention. Its dirty & outdated. Inside needs cleaned! I did this for 30 yrs & a dirty store will lose business. Thats mold coming from the ceiling tiles! The vents are very dirty. Yes that’s dirt! The chairs & booths need cleaned. I didn’t even go to the restrooms so ♀️. Do better! A little scrubbing goes a long way in what your customers see!

While trying to place a simple order with one side the staff changed inside the store and a different person took my order. I started over for her twice and she still got my order wrong. Everything e I tried to explain it to her she would cut me off like she knew what I was going to say. When I got home my order was wrong.

Third time is the charm! You’ve lost my business. My last three drive thru orders have been wrong, but this time takes the cake.
Drove up to the speaker, saw a sign that said Out of brocolli, tartar sauce, and one other item.
Ordered two of the shrimp, lobster bite, and fish dinner with coleslaw on one, green beans on the other, fries on both.
The woman who took the order was very curt, acted like it was killing her to take the order. Very rude.
Drove around, the amount I was charged was much less than expected and I asked, “Did they get my order right?” Surprise, surprise!! They did not! Again.
So I knew I wasn’t getting the shrimp, but I WAS expecting the rest of it to be ok. Nope. No fries.
First of all, what kind of seafood place runs out of tartar sauce? Very, very, poor planning.
Secondly, it was NOT busy!
Your location is tired and sad looking. Your staff is obviously inept and poorly trained.
I don’t see how you’ll stay in business another year.

Was told they could not give me the order they charged me for. Then the lady in the back proceeds to sling my food tray , while making a comment about me needing to eat what I got.
We have always looked forward to eating here any time We come to Dickson. Unfortunately, this will be my last time eating at this location because of this experience.

It didnt take long at all. The cashier was so helpfull because I am indecisive when im so Hungary lol. She did great she even suggested lobster bites to add on and they were so good.

The food is always good when u can get them to take ur order even after sitting in the drive thru for 37 minutes and no other vehicles in line …. And this isn’t the first time! So if ur planning on eating here don’t go on ur lunch break!

The last time I went to Captain D’s, I ordered online and picked up in the store. As I was leaving. I thought it didn’t seem like there were two dinners in the bag. I checked before I left the store. One of the two dinners I ordered was complete. The other contained the two sides but no seafood. Since I was still in the store, I was able to get the rest of my order. Today, I ordered the fish and chicken for take out. I got a baked potato and a large drink. The cost was over $17. When I got to my home which is about 15 minutes away, I only had two small pieces of chicken and no fish. I have attached a picture of what I paid (without the drink) $13 for. Also, it’s been a couple of weeks between visits, and there has been no butter either time.
