At our Clarksville, TN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

OMG! I haven’t had Captain D’s in years since in my hometown they don’t give you the little crispy pieces or fish crumbles that are under the fish at the ones I’ve visited. But this Captain D’s on Riverside/Kraft was sooooo good and fresh on this Memorial Day! I forgot it was a holiday and dropped by for lunch. The young lady at the counter was pleasant and not annoyed that she was working on a holiday. The young lady who brought my food to my table was very pleasant as well. The staff, the food, the wait time everything was great on this day. Thank you again ladies!

DO NOT EAT HERE. Again heave my warning DO NOT EAT AT THIS LOCATION. My food was cold. Everything was cold except the fried okra. MY MAC AND CHEESE FISH SHRIMP AND HUSH PUPPIES WERE ALL STONE COLD. It’s absolutely absurd and ridiculous to spend $16.31 JUST FOR YOUR FOOD TO BE COLD. Not only that but I had to wait 15 minutes in the Drive-Thru for my food. Waiting that long THE FOOD SHOULD DAMN SURE BE HOT. Would I get a refund? Yeah probably but I shouldn’t have to turn around to go back and get my money. And no I didn’t wait till I got home. I literally opened the box after crossing the street sitting in traffic. Not to mention the food tasted like old grease. Cold old grease as if the fryers haven’t been changed in a month.

We stopped by today for dinner for our daughter, no tartar sauce because of a citrus fruit intolerance. We waited on upwards of 10 minutes, and they were out of a lot of food, including hush puppies, broccoli, and bread (not the fish sandwich bread). So, my husband ordered the fries and the giant fish sandwich, that we’ve seen advertisements about on the Internet. Got home w/ the food & the sandwich was dripping in tartar sauce with two long fish sticks. Called numerous times and when someone answered, he told her the issue and then the call was somehow disconnected in his ear. He called back & someone would pick up the phone and hang up immediately. So, we got into the car and drove 15 minutes back to the restaurant. My husband explained what happened and he was given a new sandwich after a while. It’s not likely that we will be back, the customer service is atrocious and the food quality is subpar.

Sign to store is missing from the front. Observed it behind the rear of the store in 2 pieces as well as a 2 part refrigerator unit. The Drive-Thru menu board is faded and has black mold in places. It looks ancient. Needs replaced!
I was picking up a order for a customer through Uber Eats and they said they were out of Green Beans and Coleslaw. They said their Coleslaw came in sour on their truck and had been out for days.
This store needs a remodel and a management team that cares. Just looking at the appearance and state of clutter outside of their Drive-thru it is apparent that no one cares how the store looks.

I went in there for my client every Wednesday and Thursday senior day and her food is always messed up.i went in today 11/26 /2025 telling the guy at the cashier to make everything fresh.When I get home, the fries was overcooked and cold.The hush puppies they left in the grease to where they would almost burnt.And he gonna talk about they fresh all the time. This place hasn’t changed it’s a mess

I just went to Captain D’s to order dinner. I was in line for over 20 minutes, at the order box got at least 10. No one was in front of me. I never even got to order my food. Not sure if they were taking breaks while on the clock or if they just didn’t want to work tonight. However, the service was absolutely non-existent. After over 20 minutes I had enough and left. Super disappointed.

I went down there 4/21/25, it was the most delighted service I’ve ever had. The young lady at the register was so patient and helped me throughout the order. To make this experience even better the food was extremely delicious and I can’t wait to come back again. The whole team should be recognized for their amazing service and the fabulous neatness of the dining room.
