At our Jacksonville, AL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Got two of the $5.99 fish plates. Order extra slaw and paid for both. When I got home only one had extra slaw.to far to drive back for a slaw. They were very busy but I asked does both plates have the extra slaw. They said yes. So I didn’t check it. Because I just asked.

Sat at the speaker for 15 minutes then pulled up and sat at the window while someone finally took the order of the car behind me. Still waited another 15 minutes at the window with no answer. Watched the lady take two walk in orders while waiting. Please get some help or different people to help service customers a little better. I left without food after all that and 4 others drove off. Thank you

Left out my food. Got my husband and sons plates but not mine. Wouldn’t answer the phone to refund my money either. Its not hard to ensure the entire order is bagged and handed out. Im angry because its always me that loses out. 1st time I didn’t have to cook or go get and I still get done wrong. They also cant give refunds in the store . I have to get in touch with the area. Supervisor. It shouldn’t be that hard. This was the 1st time in months I didn’t have to handle supper and it was being brought to me and I didn’t have to cook or go. And they messed it up.

Waited at the speaker for like 20 minutes after they asked me to hold. This seems to become there normal way of handling customers. When I got to the window (after they finally took my order at the speaker, btw when I went around the corner to the window there were no cars there) the younger girl took my card to pay for my order and gave me my drink. Probably 8 minutes later, the woman, whom I assume was the manager, opened the window to collect money for an order of the person behind me (I’m guessing) because what she said wasn’t my order. They need to get there stuff together. I can’t be the only one this happens to.

This is ridiculous! I ordered butterfly Shrimp and a loaded baked potato. Look at the photos! The photo had just a spoon of hard melted cheese, nothing else. I had to add butter and sour cream. The butterfly Shrimp was so small, till anyone would think it was popcorn shrimp, except no taste of shrimp, just batter!! Absolutely ridiculous!! I will not eat at this Captain D’s again, and I live just down the road from it.

Service was excellent and my food was ready pretty quick, but can someone please explain to me why they upcharge .99 for mac n cheese and then don’t even give you a full portion? Absolutely not worth the money.

The drive thru person was wonderful. When I got home the fish looked good on the front but when I flipped it over there was so much hard batter, we had to pick it off just to eat the it. Thankfully, I wasn’t looking for a free meal because the manager Misty wasn’t willing to replace anything. She acted like it was supposed to be that way.

I was served Thursday, June 5, 2025 by Melissa and she was awesome. She took our order, repeated it back to us, and got it absolutely correct! Nothing missing & everything was FRESH, HOT, & DELICIOUS THANK YOU MELISSA, WE’LL BACK BACK!
