At our Troy, AL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

The servers are always wonderful at this location no matter how busy they are (and they are ALWAYS BUSY!!!) They all have a smile and the best customer service. Every one of them act like they have manager energy when they talk to customers… Oh yeah.. The food is fantastic too!!!

The staff was extremely nice the ladies were absolutely wonderful however my fish was undercooked and I could tell this by the fish meat being translucent and the tomatoes were freezer burned and old. The whole restaurant in the dining area is tired, extremely tired.

Service was friendly. Place was clean. HOWEVER… The food was so greasy that I had trouble eating it. It tastes like, and the consistency was like, the grease was not hot enough. Ate there with my wife twice in 2 months and the meal was the same both times. Will give it a year before trying it again.
