At our Guntersville, AL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

We stopped in for a quick option for dinner on our way home from a trip. We were so impressed with the quality of our meal it was hot and fresh and served to us with a quickness i didn’t expect. Definitely will eat here again on our return trips through the area. It was a little pricey for a 3 piece fish and fries though.

We grabbed lunch to-go here today, and it was hot, fresh, and delicious! Whatever they are doing, they need to keep doing it. Best Captain D’s I’ve had in a long time. Everything was cooked to perfection. The guy working the drive-thru was nice and patient. Overall, wonderful experience and an excellent lunch!

Stopped in after a long night of basketball games. Google store hours and the listing says 10pm, pull in at 9:17pm and the place was lit up. Menu was still on and we sat at the menu waiting to order. No one ever spoke so we pulled to the front to go in. Sign on door says closed at 9pm. Please adjust your hours on Google. Drove to Wendy’s and spent our money there instead. Will not be back.

Every body needs to come to eat something delicious . Best fish dinner in the world. The workers are so nice and works hard I’m pretty proud of them all. I believe that they need a big raise, paid vacation,ham and turkey, plus a gold trophy . I love their service too. The managers needs the biggest one. People will leave with a full stomach here. Although the restaurant was really clean and well stocked, the food was not good. Specifically, the chicken fingers were crazy expensive and small. The fish did not taste as normal. The Mac-n-cheese was inedible. Just … not good.

We tried to order the 2 piece chicken meals which said on line included drink but the guy at the register said they didn’t have that. It wasn’t on the register. We bought the combo meals then charge 2.99 for a drink. That is 9.00 for 2 pieces of fish a few fries and a small drink. We have a very good all you can eat place for less. Certainly will not go back……
