At our Cullman, AL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Spent 15 minutes in drive thru behind 1 person at the speaker. As I drove around him and found a parking spot because I thought it would be quicker to go inside, I heard the speaker ask him for his order. After we had already been sitting there for 15 minutes!!! Spent 5 minutes inside behind 1 person at the counter, being ignored. Finally ran out of time for my lunch break and went back to work hungry. This place is ridiculous. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else, somewhere you can get service. This would be a great place to open a restaurant of some sort, maybe even fast food

The gentleman behind the counter about 2:00 pm today Sunday, June 11th was extremely rude and needs to learn some customer service skills. We were nothing but polite to him while ordering but he gave attitude during the order and while delivering the food to our table.

The service was great tonight, the food was delicious, the workers were short staffed, but worked really hard to take care of everyone. I pray God blesses them richly, and I pray God sends them more coworkers, able to help serve the beautiful community of Cullman, with scrumptious seafood.

The food we got was good, but it wasn’t what we ordered. They were short handed and the girl working the counter was doing a great job….but it was more than 1 person could handle. Kudos to her for working the counter, window, and taking food to the tables. The workers in the back were loud and gossiping about someone and didn’t appear to be in any type of hurry. We waited over 30 minutes for our food. I’m not sure when we will go back.

Awful experience. Ordered expensive catfish sandwich. They told me that they were out of lettuce and tomatoes. I ordered tartar sauce. They didn’t put tartar sauce on it and the fish was awful. Tasted muddy. There food is always disappointing.

We literally walked in and we stood there for like a minute or two, no one was taking our order or thought about it. They didn’t care that we was waiting to place our order or that we walked out. We even asked if someone was going to help us. Such immature cowokers smh. Don’t recommend this place to anyone. It was embarrassing leaving and just standing there forever WILL NEVER BE BACK!

The drive through wait is absolutely horrendous. We were the only car and we waited 25+ minutes for chicken tenders. Annndddd they got my order wrong. This is not unusual for this spot.

Second time in a row my order was wrong. First time I ordered okra in place of fries and got fries anyway. Paid extra for the okra. Tonight I ordered okra and slaw. Got home and had fries and green beans. Again paid extra for okra. Threw everything in garbage except the fish. Paid 10.99 for 3 pieces of fish. Yall need to do better. No excuse handing out wrong orders. I’d rate you a 0 if it was an option.
