At our Orange Park, FL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Kaylee served us tonight, and her customer service was impeccable. She welcomed us when we entered the dining room. We were not sure what we wanted to order, but Kaylee helped us with her suggestive selling and quick problem-solving. One item was out of stock, and Kaylee was quick to suggest a substitution with the approval of the manager.
After we paid, she offered for us to have a seat, and she would bring our meal to our table. Business picked up between the dining room and the drive-thru. Kaylee quickly handled both the dine-in and the drive-thru by herself like a champ, as well as cleaning the restrooms, sanitizing the tables and chairs, and emptying the trash. She made time to ask us how our food was, offered refills, and asked if she could get anything for us. This young lady maintained her composure professionally during challenging situations, with the biggest smile. Kaylee went above and beyond tonight.
I was reluctant to come here tonight due to extremely poor service in the past. Kaylee changed my mind, and I will return because of how amazing the customer service was this evening. Thank you for Kaylee’s impeccable customer service.

Went in on a Tuesday afternoon & the assistant manager was so helpful, & conscientious we ordered something different for the first time. I was so glad to get this wonderful service after swearing off this location 6 months ago, under bad management. The food was fast & hot & service was GREAT!!

Waited 20 minutes for fish and fries and a chicken tenders kids meal. Drove home thru traffic to find the complete wrong food. Called the store and after telling someone the issue they set the phone down for 5 minutes and then hung up on me. Will never go back.

For a fast food seafood restaurant the food here is pretty good. Not a fan of fried seafood so I have never had any here. I always get whatever grill option they have available.

I wanted leave this review because of the server that worked on10/11/2025 between 1:00 to 4:00 pm. Her service was horrible! She obviously hates her job and has zero customer service. Ordered fish, shrimp and clams. Got all the way home which took 45 minutes on blanding traffic. Get home and the shrimp and clams were left out. I called, no answer. When I drive back, she hands me my shrimp and clams, says sorry and shuts the window. No offer for compensation for my inconvenience for her incompetence. She acted like a real you no what. Not sure if management cares about who’s interacting with their customers but certainly should not be doing that job. I imagine it’s hard to find help, but that kind of help will only hurt your business. As a manager, I would never hire a person like that. Needless to say by the time I got home my fish and fries were cold and soggy. Terrible experience!

Ordered takeout online. Drove up there and found out they canceled my order and didn’t even notify me. But they made it right and the food was good.
