At our Macon, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Went there on a Friday night around 7:30pm. I should have known something was wrong because the parking lot was almost empty. I pulled up to the drive thru (all the lights were off). I’m asked to hold immediately. After waiting 5 minutes, I drove around and NO ONE was in line and the restaurant was empty. Look…if you don’t want to work at Capt D’s, go on Indeed. Guests shouldn’t have to wait for some to “feel” like working.

Gross. Do not go to this location. I eat captain Ds once a week in Warner Robins (Russell Pkwy) so I know what or should be and this was a waste of money. Overpriced, the manager is not giving the proper portions. They are only giving half size sides. I have been a faithful customer for years. Most of my life. This was just gross and cold. It all went in the trash. All I wanted to do was take my disabled mother to the Macon Christmas light show and a good dinner. So sad our good day ended in such great horror with cold food and rude staff. If you don’t like your job go get another job. No one forced you to go to work at Capt Ds. And had to also deal with some off duty worker yelling in a he lobby and the manager yelling back at her to shut up because she had guess in the lobby. Which only made the situation worse. STAY AWAY you have been warned.

I’ve been to this restaurant 5 times now and I’ve ordered my food online and in the drive through and each time the frys are soft the fish is soft and soggy as if it’s been sitting around for a while and put in the microwave. These items should be crispy I won’t be back anymore will my family

I just came in this evening ,October 31, 2025, and purchased the white fish&grill shrimp with cole slaw and fried okra. I checked the food, but didn’t know my grill shrimp were missing. Only the 5 fried shrimp,for $1.99, were on the plate. Also, the cole slaw was sour and spoiled. I attempted to call the store multiple times ,so they can pull that coleslaw&keep someone from getting sick. But, they have the phone line on an automated message, that says someone is on the line& that’s why it’s busy. Prayfully, someone with administration sees this message and get someone to check all the food to ensure that only fresh food is served to customers.
