At our Fort Valley, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

My family and I arrived to this location right before they closed. Granted, it was 5 minutes before closing and I know how frustrating that can be but they turned us away when we had my 82 year old Aunt with us. The manager walked out from the back telling us that they were closed but THEY WEREN’T closed. Even one of the young lady’s came out from the back and told the crew that they could’ve still served us. This was 8/22/25 at 9:55pm. The manager walked behind us and locked the door as we left. He’s a real jerk and the staff sucks. Thank you to the young lady that made the attempt though. She was nice.

At no point in time should fish be the consistency of chicken. The color of the fish flesh wasn’t white. And my lobster bites were still cold in the middle.. Customer service is wonderful but the food is definitely not what it used to be!!! Won’t be going back and I don’t recommend.

Horrible . Pulled up to the drive thru at 10 45pm. Asked the manager on duty to make sure all of my food was fresh and hot. It was not. It was old , refried, burnt . I’m very unhappy. And I spent almost 40.00. I will be there first thing to get my refund. !

My husband went on May 18th & the cashiers were loudly threatening each, overlooked manager, gave a ½ order of Cracklings but charged the full amount. Also ordered a 3 pc fish dinner but was a 2pc and they were literally 2 fingers thick and short. The food was hot but inadequate. Called to complain & was told that’s the only size they had & didn’t make accommodations for the smaller pieces of fish. For the amount paid, this is unacceptable.

I’ve tried FOUR times to call them about my order. I ordered a 2 piece fish with 6 shrimp,fries,slaw.
I received 2 piece fish,slaw and greenbeans !!!!!!! Lot of difference in price. NOBODY will answer or return my call.

Food was just okay
And i got here at 8.45 and was told I couldn’t eat in dining room because they close it at 9 pm
I am a truck driver and like to get out of truck and sit and eat when I have time

Grilled Alaskan salmon was well overcooked to the point of being dry.
If you order a Loaded Baked Potato, they include no sour cream, with the additional charge, and no knowledge that sour cream is not included, which is a common sense topping for such an item.
Very poor customer service experience on this occasion.

I’ll first off say…that the food is always amazing. But, I don’t like the lack of teamwork. It seems the managers always toss one cashier in the front to do EVERYTHING. Take orders in the front/hand orders out in front/Take orders at the drive thru/pack orders/cash them out/give the food out at drive thru. You’ll be on hold 5-15 minutes sometimes. I watched a young lady eariler struggle. Her manager was sitting in her car…got out drinking a frappé from McDonald’s. Just walked straight into to the kitchen. The young lady never complained. Asked her “where is the front manager” which she just stated 3 managers were there. I just left it at that. Possibly, the other 2 were the cooks…still just ridiculous in my opinion. If anything the managers should be doing that. If your making more.
