At our Eastman, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

This is my honest opinion of this Captain D’s on my date of visit 4/05/25. Your opinion may differ. I went inside to place my order to go. The drive thru was not moving. I figured I could get my food faster by going inside. It took over 10 minutes just to place my order, even though there were only three people ahead of me. The lady that took my order was very nice and professional. It was obvious that they were having MAJOR issues with the kitchen staff. I was craving Captain D’s. I haven’t been to this location in over a year. After my order was placed, it took them 37 minutes just to get a simple order of fish and fries. Several customers walked out of this establishment because they didn’t want to wait on getting their order taken. The lady working the register actually locked the front doors and told customers that they needed to come back later because they were not taking anymore orders, until the kitchen could catch up. I don’t know what the problem was in the kitchen, but people were leaving Captain D’s and going across the street to Shark’s. They were busy but not so busy that people were waiting almost an hour just to get their food. Whomever owns this restaurant needs to spend more time overseeing the operation. It is called fast food for a reason. The inside of the restaurant was extremely hot. The lady at the register was having to fan herself with a sales sign. It was in the upper 80’s outside and felt like a 100 degrees inside, with the sun blazing through the windows. The food was just okay and not worth waiting almost an hour to get. This restaurant needs some serious management attention before they lose all their customers!

I have almost had it eating out any where in Eastman. Everyone is always so rude and my order is always screwed up anywhere else. Not at Captain D’s. I don’t know who runs it, but they do it right. Every body who works here is always so nice, food always fresh and cooked perfectly. This is the only place I trust now.

I have always like Captain Ds fish and there sides are pretty good also. The service at this Captain Ds location was extremely fast. The young man at the register taking our order was very congenial and respectful. The manager came and asked everyone how their food was and if she could get anyone anything else. Reccomend this Captain Ds for Great service and good food.

Did not eat there due to no customer service. 1 person in the drive-through, no other customers inside. The employees were too busy talking to each other and looking at cellphone to pay me any attention. Had this been my first Captain D, it would have been my last. Thankfully, others are great.

This was by far the best experience we have had at this Captain D’s since it’s been in Eastman. The food was delicious, fresh and hot! The service was excellent. The cashier (I didn’t get his name) went above and beyond his duties and he had the front right by himself! Keep up the good work Eastman Captain D’s!! We will definitely be visiting again!!

We drive down to Eastman at least once a month. I have never been disappointed at this location. The food is always cooked fresh to order and very tasty. Customer service is good. Everyone is attentive and polite. This is definitely a highly recommend spot for seafood.

All employees were very friendly and helpful. We ordered from the senior menu. Our first time eating in the dining room since covid! Good visit, good meal, good sweet tea. (I prefer Coke over Pepsi, but their sweet tea is a good substitute!)
