At our Statesboro, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

This is my Dad’s favorite fast food restaurant. Whenever he visits, he always stop in and get us some beer batter fish and their rolls, which are the best! I always eat two or more bc they are that good! The employees are down to earth and very welcoming once you enter the store.

I’m giving 5 ⭐ based solely on my experience today 1/6/22. The counter service today was very friendly and smiled while talking, receipt says Tyasia but idk. The food was hot and good, especially my fish and fries soaked in the vinegar! It might not be 5 ⭐ all the time but today was spot on for takeout fastfood!

I went through the Drive through order Salmon dinner and the bake potato I got I would be ashamed to serve to any customer. If I could post a picture I would, it looked like it was there for days. The potatoe was dark inside. You do not serve your customer food like this.

Waited 45 minutes for food. Cook that was preparing food was eating french fries while he prepped food. You could see him from behind the trays. Orders were filled it seems randomly. Skipped from 221 to 226 to 223. The service is usually slow, which is understandable if you want freshly cooked food. But today was ridiculous. Food quality was okay, but service was awful today.
