At our Atlanta, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I stopped by this location because I was craving fish. I decided to get fish fries and shrimps. I don’t eat ketchup or cocktail sauce so I asked for more than 2 small cups of tater. Cashier said I can only get 2 per order. I offered to pay extra the said no. I asked for a refund. I’m thinking to myself the manager will give me a refund instead making some extra dollars. What business turning down money? Bay breeze it is. I just wanted something quick. Thanks Captain ds for letting me know quick is no longer the way to go. I can only imagine how much business y’all lose.

I stopped by this location on 02/25/26, around 11:45 am , and bought the fish sandwich combo, along with the 4 piece fish combo. Everything was so fresh and delicious

Look if you don’t want to work then just don’t come to work. If you don’t want the job then don’t apply for it. Customers come we just want to eat. We don’t want to be treated with a nasty attitude. What ever is bothering you just pray about it and leave it at home! Because we just came to get something to eat not to be treated badly because you don’t want to be there. If you’re mad because nobody is interested in you or whatever your problem is don’t take it out on the customers. I just came to get something to eat and she had an attitude big time when I was trying to order and an even bigger attitude when I came to the window! August 17 Sunday night I went to get some food from here before taking it in for the night !I sat at the speaker for 15 minutes saying hello. Nobody said anything pulled around to the window to see three people inside. There were cars in front of me so I do understand that they were busy, so I parked and went inside so I can order And everyone walked past me i stood there for another 10 minutes. Nobody said anything nobody told me to wait or to give them time or asked me what I wanted so I just left !! very unprofessional to not speak at all or not even address me !!! even though you guys are busy!! I don’t recommend coming here at night And also if coperate reads this you YOU NEED MORE/BETTER STAFF !!!

My Husband and I ordered the seafood platter and the seafood sampler we ordered online to avoid the long line of lunch. after getting back to work, I realized that everything in my platter was old not cold, but old like it had been re-fried several times. I went back to the store to return the food and ask for a fresh platter. I was denied because I ordered my food online. Such a shame I had to report this one.

Edit: I went to the website and put in a customer service ticket just before writing this review. The same one the owner asks me to go to in the reply. It’s been over a week and I still haven’t been contacted about getting a refund.
Terrible service and poorly managed. A restaurant full of people who can only bicker instead of getting the food right. I ordered online and still waited 20 minutes in the drive thru for them to tell me the food wasn’t ready and to pull forward. There was already someone waiting and I told the cashier. She told me to pull to the front of the building and park, which I did. And waited even longer before going in and waiting even more before getting told they don’t know how to do refunds. I just wanted my money back at that point. The cashier tried to claim she didn’t tell me to pull forward but I asked her twice. I now have to call back in the morning and submit an online ticket on their website to get a refund. They still gave me the food, which was cold by then and had none of the sauces I requested. The fries, okra, and jalapeno poppers were under cooked.

Just took super long in the drive thru. Otherwise food, temperature taste & the whole 9 were expectational… service was decent, & plenty of parking to stop and eat before hitting the road again was a bonus. All in all I was pleased Happy plate everytime I visit this Captain D’s location.
