At our Stockbridge, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I am VERY disappointed with my food. I’ve never had to look at my sandwich because it has ALWAYS looked like the picture. Idk if there was a new cook tonight, but the fact that you burned my bun (top&bottom) and it was too hard to eat is ridiculous. When I got home and opened the container, it even smelled burnt. Look how this look. I’m missing my lettuce and usually have more tartar sauce than a drop. The economy has increased prices so I expect my meal to look presentable and match the price. Of course nobody answered the phone but this will get corrected. I can’t even eat it!

I REALLY don’t like giving bad reviews, especially when it comes to young people, but, if someone doesn’t try to give them good advice, how will they try to do better and be better?
We sat in the drive-thru for a long time. One car pulled up and when I spoke on the speaker, no one responded. I sat quietly waiting to be helped for a while longer, but all I heard was someone on the mic, but not speaking. After a few more minutes of waiting, I said, “Hello?” I received no response then nor when I reied to reach someone a few minutes later. I am never rude. Rudeness accomplishes nothing at all. My thing is loving on people. If it wasn’t because we ordered the food for a church lady (online), we would’ve driven off at least 20 minutes ago. My family started getting restless, so my husband went inside. I went inside as well. When I went in there, there were two young ladies in the front. One was supposed to be helping customers on the drive-thru line, but was instead laughing and texting on her phone. She completely ignored us and was laughing away looking at us off and on. The other young lady who was supposed to tend to the front ignored my husband. We had an online order. She helped another customer and cracked a little smile at him because she probably thought the young man was cute to her. Overall, she looked miserable and her customer service reflected it. I continued to notice how she ignored us. My husband spoke up and gave her his name. She didn’t do much about that so I told her that we had an online order. She finally spoke to us and asked to see the order. He showed it to her on his phone, so she hollered at the other employees in the back asking if any of them had the order. The young lady who answered her located the order, so she bagged it up and gave it to my husband. She did not greet us or said thank you, goodbye, or anything courteous like that. She treated the other customer who left before us the same way. It is exhausting seeing how these young people are. How will they get ahead in life if they can’t show growth? I hope the best for them and that they will be able to mature and become successful women who other women can look up to. If she needs inner peace, I pray that she is able to find it. I know there are many broken people in this world. But, I hope they will be able to have new opportunities to grow and learn.

One more thing; the pick-up truck that was waiting at the window for a long time before us was still there when we left. He probably should’ve gone inside as well.

It was the first fish Friday of this year and your staff was so very kind. Where I’m from most restaurants barely even speak. I walked in and was immediately greeted. Dinah was very kind and was like this with everyone. Your staff in the kitchen and at the window had great manners and were doing their best to keep up on a busy Friday evening. If something went wrong they were so sincere with their apologies. I would be proud of all of them if I was a manager. Honestly, this was the first time in a long time that I had fish that was served fresh and hot. Definitely be proud of the back and the front of the house because they are a blessing in the restaurant world. God Bless you all and I would be proud of each and every one of you. -A mom with terminal cancer. ❤️

The drink machine didn’t work and you only could get Sweet Tea. I then changed my order from combo to sandwich and fries, to only be charged almost $8 for 2 fast food fries. Outrageous.. I more for sandwich &fries than a combo because I don’t desire Tea and there wasn’t another option.

OAN the restroom could use some assistance.

I went yesterday. I purchased the fish and shrimp dinner. Opened the food when I got on the highway. Hush puppies were missing. The fish had a sour taste. The fried okra and 6 shrimp were good tho. $14 is a little steep for about 12 pieces of fried okra and 6 shrimp. Traffic was too bad to go back. And, I attempted to call the number listed, but no one answered. I was disappointed.

Asked for extra seasoning, they didn’t do it. So I sent it back! This is what I got back. They sprinkled the seasoning on my cooked food! Dry seasoning. Then I was told that they don’t season the food after it’s cooked. Just will not gii on back there!

This location is consistently slow, mixing up orders, running out of reciept paper, tartar sauce. I recommend management take note can be a good store

Normally my family and I visit this location. My experience last week wasn’t really great. I ordered the two piece Catfish, two sides. My pieces of fish were very small and were not cooked perfectly. The skin of my fish was very soft and looked old and ripped up.

It’s 11/10/23. My family and I decided to try Captin D”s again in our surrounding area. It’s been a while since we came here. Today’s food was ok. I got the deluxe seafood platter for $11.99. My fish was okay, my crab cake was overcooked & dry. Loaded baked potatoes were dried out as well. However, my shrimp, green beans, and hushpuppies were good. It’s a solid hit or miss here.. We ordered three dinners. I only reviewed and showed my food.

Just went through the drive thru and ordered fish with lobster bites and an extra lobster bite. The fish is extra hard, apparently sitting and just dropped in grease when ordered, and fried in completely old grease. I understand it’s close to closing however, you service your last customer as you would your first. So unacceptable Captain D’s. I dare not to even use the malt vinegar and tartar sauce to enhance the fish, being the only great accommodation to the meal. I’d definitely give zero stars had it been possible.
