At our Lithonia, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

On to the food:
The chicken tenders look more like nuggets, I complained to the manager in blue (pregnant girl with attitude), she laughed in my face (literally) and said “what do you think a chicken tender supposed to look like.
I check my loaded baked potato and the inside was completely black.
Needless to say I won’t ever be back.
Extremely disappointed with my visit on 11/20.
I stopped by this location in the early evening and ordered a simple 2-piece fish meal through the drive-thru. The employee at the window quoted me the correct total of about $6.49, and that is the amount I approved. However, she did not offer me a receipt, and I watched her ball up what appeared to be my receipt and throw it away. I wasn’t feeling well at the time, so I didn’t press the issue — I just wanted to get home, eat, and lie down.
Later that night, I discovered that my card had been charged $28.01 instead of the approved $6.49. I called the store and asked to speak with the manager. A young man told me he was the manager, but based on his lack of professionalism and knowledge, I seriously doubted that he held that role. I then asked to speak with the District Manager. He gave me the DM’s name and began giving me her phone number until someone in the background stopped him, and he told me he was not allowed to provide it. No one attempted to resolve the overcharge.
After checking online, I noticed many other reviews describing multiple customer service concerns at this location. I wish I had looked before visiting.
This was my first time returning to Captain D’s in many years, and this experience has made me very hesitant to come back. I hope corporate takes a serious look at what is happening at this store.
I ordered the four piece fish with corn on the cob and one extra corn on the cob for my husband.
When we got home I found out my fish was burned and we went right back.
The Manager Daquan refused to refund us because we didn’t have receipts.
We told him the cashier didn’t provide us with one. He told us that all he could do is remake the Food.
We continued to press for a refund, and after finding the stores copy of our receipt he still refused to refund us, so we ended up going next door to JJ’s! JJ’s provided much better service!
There are adults there, and they are all about businesses!
If you want to pay for incompetence, come here!
They ain’t about nothing! ZERO STARS BY THE WAY! GO STRAIGHT TO JJ’S!
