At our North Augusta, SC location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I love Cap’n D’s but I was shocked how so salty the lemon pepper seasoning was on my fish, otherwise the fish would have been very tasty because it was cooked just right. The green beans are so delicious I usually get 2 servings of them, not salty at all, so I’m glad I did so again. I loved the dinner bread as always. The rice was much better than the other Captain D’s I’ve been to. I will be back to try the fish with shrimp skewer with a different seasoning. I will try to get a photo next time because it was very appetizing to look at.

I think the service could’ve been better if they had more staff. It was only two ppl working a GM and maybe a manager one was cooking/taking orders and the other one taking orders and getting the food out. The inside wasn’t that busy but the drive thru was a little busy.

I ordered take out of a deluxe meal. The baked potato looked and tasted like it had been in a warmer all day. The crab was terrible, no taste. However, the shrimp and fish were good. Very dissatisfied and disappointed in Captain D’s .

So i waited over 30 mins in drive thru.. which ok fine I don’t really mind the wait.. but inside was not busy, 2 ppl in the front. Almost felt like the lady who took my order and payment went back in the kitchen to cook my food. It was so hot that the togo was melted. When I opened my togo box.. WHY would you give me a jacked up stuffed crab.. the shell was broken all over my food. I had to pick through my food to get it out.. well clearly I didn’t do a great job because I crunched into one which cut my gums. Really ruined my meal and I didn’t finish eating. I was sharing with my 2 year so didn’t want to chance him Crunching into crab shell.. I would have called and complained but the 2 employees there didn’t look like they would have really cared..

The building is falling apart, lights and smoke alarms about to fall out of the ceiling, drink machine, and condiment machine not working, dirty ceiling tiles, nasty tables and floor, understaffed, outside of the building looks horrible. Food was subpar. It used to be a great place to take the family, but I won’t be going back anytime soon because of these issues.

The wait was about 45 minutes to get food. Yes, 45 minutes at a fast food restaurant, and then it was horrible. Soggy and greasy. I thought after that wait, it would at least be fresh. I was sorely mistaken. I will not make that mistake again.

Worse Captain D’s ever , sit at the speaker for 30 mins , sit at the window for 20 mins food still never ready , the window ppl need to do better ,nobody should have to wait a hour for food or just sitting in a line

I haven’t eaten here in quite a while. The employees are nice. It took 25 minutes for me to receive my 2 piece fish dinner with slaw and fries… I don’t know why. The fish is still great. I love the crunchy batter. Fries were not hot or fresh… slaw looked pretty but was “meh”. It is inexpensive to eat here. I’ll try it again someday.
