At our Aiken, SC location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I had their Supreme Sampler yesterday. The fish and shrimp were decent. However, the chicken tenders they gave me were awful. They were cold and rock hard. I opened one of them up and it was literally just breading. No chicken. Unfortunately, they were inedible which was disappointing. If I come back, I think I’ll just stick to the fish.

We havent eating here and I was craving some. Feeding my family of 5. Is it supposed to be ok that 1 plate has no sides and 1 has the wrong sides. The food tastes like it’s been sitting all day and reheated. I know the hreenbeans come from a can, but when I have eaten on Dean’s Bridge in Aug, they were delicious. These are disgusting.

Whitney was running the show today! She was running the register, delivering the food to tables and handling the drive-thru. AND doing it all with a smile! Great employee.

Today’s visit and the experience was very disappointing. I ordered 2 white fish dinners with a side okra and broccoli. Along with a side shrimp and fried clams. This order was approximately placed at 12:27pm I set on my phone waiting for my order and at 12:50 pm I asked the cashier how much longer, apparently my order was just sitting up waiting. She told them that she was missing part of the order which was the shrimp and fried clams. The kitchen manager was in the back laughing and giggling with the store manager telling her I thought you drop that already for me. I looked down at my phone and the time was 12:56. What upset me the most is that I watched two costumers orders that was giving to them and I was ahead of them. I immediately ask that cashier for a refund, at which that store manager called herself doing, She tried to brush off my anger with justifying that they were busy. Will not be back to restaurant at all.

I ask for fish and fries and receive fish and hushpuppies. No fries. When i tried addressing issue with cashier, she seemed lost. Register employees need to listen better or get better training.

Went to Captain D’s on Whiskey Rd in Aiken. I first ordered the deluxe seafood platter. I was told they weren’t doing that at the moment. I then ordered the 4 pc fish dinner and when I got home and looked at the food, I had fish STRIPS instead of the normal pieces they serve. I accept that and proceeded to eat my dinner. After eating my fish strip, I was getting ready to prepare my potato and it felt kind of hollow so when I picked it up, potato went EVERYWHERE!! It looked as if someone had been eating it. I called the store several times to make a complaint, but there was no response!! I took a picture and will be posting it here. Food costs too much to be getting service like this and hopefully something will done about the issue.

Completely unorganized and unprofessional. The kitchen staff publicly argued with customers as well as other staff. I ordered my food at 1pm and didn’t get it until 1:45.
