At our Greenwood, SC location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Got lucky and decided to eat here on a Wednesday. It is senior citizen day and we saw lots of them. Stepped right to the counter to order. Everyone was friendly. Food came quickly and tasted good. The floor was a little slick, so be careful walking around.

I went to Captain D’s today and ordered a Shrimp and Fish Plate with 2 sides of your chosing , I chose Fries and Slaw. It also came with Hush Puppies. We also got a 10 Piece Shrimp Plate with Fries and Slaw. It also came with Hush Puppies. Everything was piping Hot and Tasted Really Good. Thanks for All Their Hard Work ! And THANKS AGAIN !

I had a hankering for some fish, so I stopped in for a 3pc with fries & okra as my 2 sides. I also got a side of fried clam strips. I saw the photo of a plate of clam strips that looked so good on the back of the cash register. My fish was excellent but my clam strips were well done & overcooked. Not only that but what I got was nowhere close to the photo. I couldn’t eat them because they were so hard, crunchy & missing the clams. I threw half of them away if you see my photo of the shrimp which were delicious, & the clam strips there wasn’t much there to start with. My meal was great with that lone exception. I know I won’t order clams again. I will be back for more fish.

Last two times I ordered take out I didn’t get part of my order. I was feeding a group of 9 and it’s a pain when part of your order is missing and they want you to run back and pick it up.

Great food and great service! I have been here a few times over the last 6 months or so and the food tastes great! Had the big platter (can’t remember the name) and it was great and a lot of food for one meal! Im a pretty big man and it definitely filled me up!

Food portions have downsized so much that the fish gets lost in the batter. Hush puppies used to be great now just ok. Coleslaw doesn’t have enough dressing so it lacks flavor. Fries are okay.
