At our Wadesboro, NC location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I’ve been to this Captain D’s location several times, even though I don’t live in the area. I usually stop by when I’m traveling to Charlotte, NC.
The food is always on point, and they consistently get my order right, which I really appreciate.
Years ago, I did scrape my car on a cylinder-shaped object in the parking lot—I’m not sure if it’s still there—but aside from that, my experiences have been positive.
Customer service is usually good. Occasionally there’s someone who isn’t very customer-service friendly, but that hasn’t been the norm in my experience.
Overall, it’s a solid go-to whenever I’m passing through town.

I stopped here for lunch today. Walked in and was completely amazed at how clean and nice. This restaurant was. Staff was super professional plight and courteous. Food was piping, hot had to let my fish cool a little. So I could eat it. Everything was completely spot on Capt. D’s should be proud of the staff that works in this restaurant. This was absolutely the nicest captain D’s i have ever been in

This sad. Me my husband and son stopped at this Captain Ds around 6pm 08/3/2024. We ordered 2 white fish dinners. A side of broccoli, fries and green beans. I asked for extra tartar sauce didn’t get that. The lady at the window told me already had some in the bag. Which was a lie. Should have checked the bag before I left but we were trying to get home since we had been out running errands all day. We get home I open up the bag to give my son his food and this is what the broccoli looked like. CAPTAIN DS YOU GOT TO DO BETTER. I DONT KKOW WHO YOUR EMPLOYEES EXPECTED TO EAT THIS NASTY LOOKING FOOD. I HAVE NO IDEA BUT NOT MY CHILD. If you’re looking for quick seafood meal don’t go here you’ll probably regret it.

We ate in and WOW! Best customer service I’ve had in over a decade. Patrick took our order, gave us our drinks and seated us. He also brought out our food to us so we didn’t have to wait standing up. The dinning room and bathrooms were super clean and everyone there smiled, greeted us and were friendly and polite! What a great meal. Thank you!

I ordered a bite size shrimp dinner and the photo shows what I received. I called to get the manager’s name and was told they couldn’t tell me when he was coming in. I am very disappointed in the food and service. It will be a long time before I go back there.

Every time I have eaten at the Captain D’s in Wadesboro, I have not been disappointed. The food is always hot and they have the absolute best tartar sauce! Sometimes I have waited a bit long but the staff always apologizes for the wait. Prices are good and I will continue to patronize as long as the food is hot and fresh!
