At our Wadesboro, NC location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Over all really great place to eat in my opinion. Food is really good except for the shrimp is always extremely over cooked & they definitely need to give the customers bigger cups of tartar sauce! Fish is always good

Went today between 3:30 – 4:00pm and the drive-thru lady was so super nice! She has made my last three visits memorable!

It was super hard to hear if the employee. So I was surprised that she had gotten my order correct from drive thru but after repeating it and getting the receipt, she did. She was very nice and we had to sit to wait for our food. I didn’t mind.

We ate in and WOW! Best customer service I’ve had in over a decade. Patrick took our order, gave us our drinks and seated us. He also brought out our food to us so we didn’t have to wait standing up. The dinning room and bathrooms were super clean and everyone there smiled, greeted us and were friendly and polite! What a great meal. Thank you!

Convinced a coworker to try cap d’s fish sandwich. I was so disappointed and embarrassed that I suggested this meal. You could not hardly see the fish on the sandwich without lifting the bun, no lettuce and no tartar sauce was on the sandwich. This for $5. I was horrified. I called and spoke to management and was told that coworker ordered a plain sandwich, which he did not. She said a sandwich order before or after our order was marked plain so I think there was confusion on order taker side. None the less, go to Monroe and get an absolutely great small fish sandwich. Worth your drive and money.

The employees did their job and the food was good…I’m not big on fried fish anymore but that’s not their fault….I think this one is better than the one in Monroe….definitely!

As long as captain d’s has been in business it seems like you would give your customers the best service you can offer and why wouldn’t you have sliced lemon for the food if asked and tarter sauce without the extra charge especially when you order the large and or platter instead of just one tarter and one shrimp cocktail sauce
