At our Beckley, WV location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

If you haven’t visited this Captain D’s location lately, you need to. I visited today, November 24, 2019. I was highly impressed with the service of this store. The crew on duty was super friendly and was all about customer service. This says a lot for the store manager and his staff.

Ordered fish and fries, looks like they sure have cut back on the fish! Looks more like one piece cut into two and also there was hardly any fries. I am beyond disappointed. Uncalled for a restaurant to see service a plate like this. Also tastes old
7-18-2022- me and my son haven’t eaten here in a very long time, so we decided to get something that was fairly quick. I ordered a meal with shrimp, fish, macaroni and cheese and my boy got him basically the same meal. The food was excellent and didn’t seem that like it had been sitting. The service was great. We enjoyed the meal. Well done. Giving a five-star rating

Fish was good. Fried pickles? Nope. Don’t do it. You know they are bad when the young man comes to your table and says: “so uh, how are those, I don’t know why the look like that, weird”

What a great evening of dining by ourselves. With a few candles, it might have been romantic. However, we did miss the catsup tonight, they were out so Mr. Heinz couldn’t join us in the empty dining area. Maybe everyone else ate early. It was almost 6:30 pm.

It was delicious! We ordered salmon (on the left) and seafood deluxe (on the right) ❤️ this place is total pleasure. Quick service (and we was starving after the whole day ride) good food and so cheap. I wish we have such place in Chicago. I totally recommend it.

The chicken appeared to be chicken tenders from a bag bought at walmart and they weren’t good. The fish was different. The shrimp was good.

We have stopped several times at this location and have yet to be served. The store was dead and we were left waiting at the drive through with a “Welcome to Captain D’s, I’ll be with you in a moment.” Only, the minutes passed and no one ever came back on the speaker. We grew up loving Captain D’s and find it sad that service, or lack there of rather, has rendered it so that we will not return.
