At our Huntington, WV location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Captain Ds at this location has great employees! If you want great Captain ds food you should head here! The food is always hot, fresh and right. Of course your always gonna have issues but considering this place gets a big thumbs up!!!

Wish I could give ZERO stars. Wanted to order 10 pieces of fish not the meal, just the fish because their sides are always horrible. She says they don’t sell that and would have to charge me for 10 individual pieces at 3.09 each. Thats over $30 for just fish so I go ahead and order the meal. (Big sign that says 27.99 for 10 piece meal) tell her to please make fries well done. She says we drop them for every order. Ok???? So I said well done please again. Get to window she charges me 29.99 plus tax for the meal. I tell her the sign says 27.99 on the drive through menu board. She says, “Well I didn’t make the sign”. Yikes. Get home and of course the fries aren’t even close to being done let alone well done. Looks like they dropped them in grease and pulled them right back up. Fish is super soggy. Pulled us up and waited 23 minutes for $32 worth of food that is inedible. Will not be back. Ever. Your cashier Tiffany needs some customer service training and I know that my food was sent out that way on purpose because of her attitude.

5-22-2022 Went there tonight and was so disappointed…I couldn’t even tell if it was chicken or fish, took it back up there and they insured me it was fish, said they had to settle for a lesser quality of fish because of supply issues, but it was the same price…ice machine slings ice all over the floor, and it wasn’t all that clean…Used to be the best in town. Prices going up but the quality is getting worse….

I really like this place. The food is always good. The service is good,and the price is very affordable. A good place for a fast lunch or dinner. It’s location is great on fifth Ave and there is plants of parking, or u can go through the drive through. I recommend trying it.

Awesome food.. But today wasn’t so great. Did not get what I ordered and seen that they don’t close the lid on the ice machine, and there ceiling is pretty dusty and dirty to be falling on top of the ice. The sink in the ladies room was filthy.

Waited 15 mins for food after ordering through drive thru and you would think fresh right? No the fries were hard as a rock and the ones that had a bit of soft were chewy like they were stale. The hushpuppies were awful! They tasted burnt and had weird black stuff all over them which we hoped was old grease or something .
Either way we didn’t eat it…for 30.00 this is ridiculous.

So incredibly greedy. They would not swap my side that I ordered that was the same exact price because they were lazy and didn’t want to help me out. I have done it several times before with no complaints, but this time they were really greedy!

They should’ve left the Long John’s and closed this place down instead. Ordered TWO 2pc fish & fries, I got ONE piece in one and 2 in the other. How do you mess up counting to TWO??? Try calling the place and it’s a constant busy signal so, I’m guessing they have so many complaints they just took the phone off the hook. Understandable. Won’t be back.

Never Again!
Jalapeno Poppers use to have 10 poppers per order then after numerous price raises I stopped in today and bought 4 orders to find out they charge $4.59 for an 8 piece.. You get less and pay more! I will never buy Captain D’s item’s again!
