I just ordered two combos of lobster rolls and fries on UberEats. The food got here, and it’s all in one container. There are two lobster rolls, but one order of fries. Also, as of July 1, the government banned the use of styrofoam by restaurants, and y’all are still using styrofoam to package your food. Also, the lobster roll is disgusting and I can’t even eat it. I got a refund on UberEats, but still, good lord. Y’all are terrible.
Edit to add: My partner also found the lobster roll inedible. We had to throw the entire order in the trash, and now we can’t even get the other half of our order refunded from UberEats.
I don’t exactly expect “fine dining” from Captain D’s, especially in Lynchburg, Virginia, but Jesus H. Christ…

My shrimp and clams were fine. My okra and fries however, were soggy. Like they were actually mushy and wet. I asked for extra tartar sauce and d’s sauce but I didn’t get any. My food was delivered to me so I couldn’t even enjoy my catfish feast or appetizers because I had nothing to dip them in. I hate dry food. They did manage to give me butter for my corn and vinegar for my fish but that’s it. The jalapeño bites are my favorite thing to get here but they tasted old. The majority of this meal went into the trash. What a disappointment.

I’ve 36 years old and have lived here my whole life and only have eaten here 4 times. Today I had a rather good experience with a new employee Kamari. I was a little indecisive about what I wanted to eat, but was in the area and choose here and was so glad I did. It was several families dining in and wonderful staff working. Kenti was the manager on duty and came up and assisted her with the transaction and everything flowed smoothly. Thank you for your service guys.

My family has been coming to this location since it opened and have always had great service and excellent food. Last week the fish wasn’t cooked all of the way and I didn’t say anything because I was full off of the other items. Tonight there are no words for this slop. $31.00. For slop. Maybe it’s still good during lunch hours. Never again for us.

I literally waited at the window for 18 minutes on two small simple meals. I could see the cashier having a very detailed conversation with another employee. Going back-and-forth from the cashier and cleaning up at the same time. Gave me no greeting, no sorry for the wait and no thank you. Worst service I’ve had in forever. Will not be coming back here ever again unless it’s in the daytime and hoping to see different staff.

I’ve been to a few Captain D’s, but this 1 here is my favorite by far. The manager recognized me. The smile she gave was inviting to her establishment. The fish (and meal) was hot as usual. If they opened a Captain D’s in waynesboro, I would still come here. Familiarity here is comfort
