At our Richmond, VA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

The manager was rude. I spent about 75 to order my family captin Ds … I even placed my order ahead via the app… I haven’t eaten here in 8 months… I was cheated on fish and no crab cake was in my bag… so after getting home which took me 16 min drive i had to go back mainly for the crab cake dinner… I told the manager she said she prepared everything yet she had to call her worker that wasn’t there and the other mobile order to see if they had my food as if that makes a difference… while waiting I asked the cashiers what did mobile order have they said a simple fish dinner so they got way more than they should have… so I asked him to have the manager come back out … I asked her if she was waiting she said yes to see if the other customer returns that had my order. I asked her why would they when they got more ( no common sense).. she smirked and had me literally wait 22 min before she started remaking my meal. These other 2 customer told me that this is a common issue with this establishment and its always better to come in so you can get them to open your food with you before you leave. I receive my meal from the manager and it was the thinnest crab cake I ever seen and a sprinkle of rice. This urban accent Caucasian woman with glasses (the manager) rolls her eyes as gives me my meal. I said its okay may I have a refund she said for me to go in the app. So I now have to dispute with my bank. You guys really suck and I will never eat at this location again.

I eat here a lot because it’s convenient, right down the street from my job, and I often order the fish sandwich. Tonight I am disgusted!!! Whoever has long red hair, there was a piece in my fish sandwich when I bit into it!!!!!

This is the second time I came in here this week and both times, the young lady was absolutely rude to both my uncle and I. The first time we let it go figuring she had a bad day but twice in a row? Uh uh!!!! I asked for the manager who was just as rude. Sad that people like this serve food to the public. I’m afraid to even eat there. Then there is a young man on the line in the back on the phone. (See photo) Major no no. I’d be fired for having a personal conversation on my phone while on the clock and as a manager in training, I know that this kind of behavior is unacceptable.

I ordered 3 fish filets with fries and cole slaw combo that didnt come with a drink. Key lime pie and Sweet tea. I received 3 chicken planks, cold fries and old tasting cold slaw despite being asked 3x to repeat what I ordered. Chicken was cold as well. I asked for tarter sauce, I got cocktail sauce. 10/10 I would not recommend.
