Being from Texas I am a super critic of BBQ. I have only found one good BBQ place in the York area, but it’s a food truck so never know when or where.
We stopped into Capt BBQ worried it would be as terrible as previous BBQ place was that used to be next door.
So surprised! The food is fantastic!!!
We were so happy!!
The meat was moist, not dried out. Sides were all delicious. The corn bread was like cake so good.
Owners so nice! A good line was forming as we left. Good for them! We will be back for sure!!

I can’t express how happy Bryan and I are with Captain Crab. They catered our company’s Christmas Party for 2 years now and catered a family get-together in the summer. The food was fabulous!!! They are so nice and helpful … a pure pleasure. We will use Captain Crab for all our catering needs. They are wonderful!

We had a surprise 60th birthday party. Placed a order for catering for the party. Food and service was great. Sent leftovers home with guests. Had some call looking for any extras. Will definitely use again .

Very disappointed, asked about the brisket they said fork tender and juicy. We purchased the sampler. My guess is they cooked few days before, very dry and not fork tender. Pulled pork was dry and flavorles. Sausage was tough and dry as well. Pasta salad way to sweet, potatoe salad was ok ( I added old bay) Apparently this is just a crab house and not a BBQ joint

Very friendly family owned establishment. Not only was the food great but the people were welcoming and the smell inside the restraint was tremendous. Will certainly go back again. Only open Fri, Sat and Sun.

I dont try to bash local places, i just give my honest feedback and review. Kinda average bbq place. The sides were okay( baked beans tasted like from the can, mac n cheese was better). Bbq chicken wasn’t up to par- skin was rubbery, not much seasoning, but atleast it was moist and not dry. I wasn’t happy with how I didnt get the deal I paid for- was supposed to get a leg quarter but he was out and only had thighs. I thought he would give me 2 thighs, since he didnt have what was advertised but I only got 1. Highlight of trip was cornbread was REALLY good I’ll give them that. I would be open to coming back to trying other bbq, I just hope what I would get wouldn’t be on the same level as the chicken.

Pre-ordering and pick up was seamless. I ordered a half bushel of medium/large mix and the price was fair. We had maybe 5 out of the half bushel that were on the lighter side but I’d say 98% were packed full and seasoned well! I would recommend!

My wife and I have been hearing good things about this place, so we thought we would give it a try. Man maybe it’s the full belly talking but boy did they nail the pulled pork, sandwich was packed and fresh. We also had sides of the Mac & cheese, seafood salad and apple crisp, all of which were also fantastic.
