Shortly after eating the food, both my fiancé and I became extremely ill. We each required emergency medical care, medication & IV fluids. I am currently 33 weeks pregnant and had to be treated in Labor & Delivery after severe gastrointestinal distress triggered contractions. I was monitored for hours to ensure my baby was safe.
The physical pain was intense, but the fear of potentially going into premature labor was even worse. No expecting mother should have to experience that after simply ordering dinner.
Medical staff indicated the illness was food-related. What was meant to be a simple night in became a frightening medical emergency for both of us.
This has disrupted our work and forced family members to step in to care for our toddler while we recovery. I sincerely hope this business reviews its food safety and handling practices so no other family has to endure something like this.
Starting with my very first time there: We were greeted by this incredibly friendly male server who was the epitome of patience and hospitality. He took the time to walk us through the menu like we were complete newcomers—which, let’s be real, we kind of were on a few items—and his explanations were so clear and engaging that I actually walked away feeling like I’d learned something new about the cuisine. It wasn’t just rote recitation; he shared little tips and fun facts that elevated the whole ordering process. What really impressed me, though, was how he handled the table right next to us. Those folks were being downright rowdy and rude—chatting loudly, complaining about everything—but he treated them with unwavering respect and professionalism the entire time. I was on the verge of saying something myself, but his calm demeanor diffused the situation effortlessly. Major props to him for keeping the vibe positive for everyone!
Then, on my second visit, we had this wonderful young lady as our server, and she was attentive in the best possible way—anticipating our needs without ever hovering or making us feel rushed. She checked in just the right amount, refilled drinks seamlessly, and even recommended pairings that turned out to be spot-on hits. I could go on about her warmth and efficiency all day, but I’d probably fill a novel if I listed every little thing she did right. Adding to the fun atmosphere were the TVs scattered around, playing a mix of entertaining clips and shows that kept things lively without being distracting. Trust me, once you’re there digging into your meal, you’ll get exactly why they enhance the experience—it’s like the perfect background buzz that makes the place feel alive and welcoming.
My third time around was just as memorable, if not more so, because it felt like the staff had somehow upped their game even further. We had another fantastic server who balanced friendliness with efficiency, making sure our orders were spot-on and delivered piping hot. The food, as always, was delicious—fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and portions that left us satisfied but not stuffed. But the real cherry on top was when the manager swung by toward the end of our meal to personally ask about our experience. In the moment, I was so caught up in the glow of it all that I could only stammer out a few enthusiastic words, but looking back, I wish I’d elaborated more on how consistently outstanding everything has been. Sharing these outings with my girl has made them even sweeter; it’s become our go-to spot for creating those little memorable moments together.
