We’re from Palm Beach County, Florida, and were visiting Boston on a trip I personally curated. Captain Louie’s was one of our planned stops after seeing so many great reviews and videos on social media, especially TikTok, and overall it absolutely lived up to the hype.

The food was very good, and our family had a great time. The seafood was fresh and enjoyable, though I personally felt the sauce could have been a bit bolder and slightly saltier. That said, it was still well prepared and satisfying.

The service was great overall. One small moment stood out when my boyfriend asked for a Miller Lite and was told it wasn’t available, but no alternative beer options were offered. He ended up going to the bar to see what was available, which felt a little odd. Aside from that, the staff was friendly and attentive.

Overall, it was a really fun experience, we enjoyed our meal, and I would absolutely return the next time we’re in Boston.

Came here for the first time while visiting in Boston, It was in a good location plenty of parking. We walked in and it was pretty full in there but we were sat immediately no wait. I got the lychee adult Capri-Sun for my drink, it was honestly super super sweet and I wasn’t a fan of it so I give it a 4/10. I got Soju after that, always good. For my entrée I got two crab clusters and I added extra potato to my boil. I got the medium heat level with the Cap’t Loui sauce. The sauce was pretty good I gave it a 7.5/ 10. The crab themselves were great. The potatoes were nice and soft but not too soft. Everything held flavor and I enjoyed it. Our server I believe her name was lucy. 98% sure. She was a nice girl but her service was slow. One of the people I was with asked if they had Miller light, she just Said no and didn’t suggest any other options and walked away. When she came back we asked if they had Coors light, She just said no and then didnt suggest anything. As a server myself I believe that you should always give your customers suggestions. After that we had to track her down to be able to figure out what they actually had. Other than that the restaurant was very nice, good vibes and clean and good food. They also have a area with toiletries that you can take for free, Such as stain remover, scrunchies, lotion And other things like that.

I purchased the 4 lbs seafood boil including lobster tail. It says online that potatoes and corn come with the food, you’d think that they’d you enough of those, but no when I got home, I only got a single potato and a single corn. Absolutely unacceptable! The meal was for someone’s birthday and it was so disappointing after all the money I spent (close to $170) because I had to go purchase other sides elsewhere to eat with all that seafood.
Another friend purchased the same thing, 4 lbs of seafood and got… You guessed it “a single corn”, with at least a couple of potatoes. This is crazy, they make it seem like they give you enough potatoes and corn in the meal. I don’t know who’s responsible for quality control at this place, but this is not it. It definitely left a bad impression on me and I don’t know if I’ll go back again!

After a recent trip to Baton Rouge, I came back absolutely craving real Louisiana-style food — that perfect mix of spice, butter, and soul. I honestly didn’t expect to find anything close up here… until I stumbled across Cap’t Loui on Google Maps by total coincidence (thank you, food gods ).

I ordered their shrimp po’ boy and wow — they nailed it. The flavors took me straight back to Baton Rouge! The shrimp were perfectly seasoned, the sauce had just the right kick, and the beignets were also delicious! My hope is they add more cajun and soul food meals to the menu soon!

I was really disappointed with my recent visit. When my seafood boil arrived, one of the potatoes in the bag had already started to sprout. That’s a clear sign it wasn’t fresh and should never have been served. It really made me question the restaurant’s food handling and quality control.

The rest of the meal was okay, but seeing that made it hard to enjoy the experience. I hope the restaurant can pay more attention to ingredient freshness in the future — customers shouldn’t have to worry about that.

This is hands-down the best Cajun boiling seafood spot I’ve tried. The seasoning is incredibly rich and flavorful, the seafood tastes super fresh, and the garlic pasta is amazing. Highly recommend!

My first time here and on my birthday! I told the waiter it was my birthday and first time here. I got the snow crab, shrimp, and lobster boil and it was delicious! I got it mild with the capt sauce because I can’t do super spicy. The food was good and we got cocktails (which we also go to go) and those were good! The service just wasn’t great. We were there for over an hour and our server Dom never checked on us. A Jenny took over and got me a to go box for the food I didn’t finish and we asked if the drinks could be taken to go (since they were served in sipping bags) and we got new drinks but waited over 20 minutes for hee to bring the bill. As i was writing this review she came over and brought me a delicious happy birthday dessert (not asked for) some kind of mini churros and vamilla icecream with chocolate drizzle on top. Because of that I change my review to a 5! Overall the food was great so id come back! again!

Food isn’t bad at all. Couple of things I’d recommend to look into. 1 the fries lemon pepper seasoning, is very not lemon pepper like, it’s almost as if they just throw some frozen fries into the microwave for defrosting. Drinks (such as the carbonated ones) are very flat. Employees are chill, they just need to stop fighting over who gets the next table coming in.

Wow this place had amazingly delicious food! At first we were a bit worried when we walked in because there wasn’t a single person there. We had the best service though because of this.

We ordered a 4lb bag with 3lbs of snow crab legs and 1lb of headless shrimp Inside the bag were potatoes and corn. The sauce we picked was a lemon butter and it was just perfect! Everything was steamed just right and the crab legs just snapped as it should!

The garlic noodles were a miss so don’t bother with those.

Fries were good but those are hard to mess up.

Here are some pics of the awesomeness.
