My experience at Capt. Jack’s Family Buffet on Thomas Drive was so impressive, I ended up dining there twice during my trip! From the moment I stepped in, the atmosphere was delightful and incredibly pleasant. Despite being quite busy, the food stations were constantly replenished with fresh, hot dishes, ensuring a continuous supply of delicious options. The staff were phenomenal; they were incredibly attentive, always quick to refill drinks and check if anything was needed, without ever making me feel rushed. The customer service here truly is incredible.
The highlight for me, without a doubt, was the endless crab legs. They were consistently hot, fresh, and incredibly easy to crack, with most of the meat coming right out – truly the best I’ve ever had. While the crab legs were my main focus, the variety of other seafood, both grilled and fried, was excellent, and the sides were equally delicious. I appreciated that they had options for various tastes, making it suitable for all group sizes.
It’s also a very kid-friendly place, which is a huge plus. We even saw a sweet young lady in a crab outfit who was absolutely precious with the children. The only minor downside was that the desserts seemed a bit stale and lacking, but honestly, with such incredible crab legs and other savory options, who’s really going for the dessert? There’s plenty of free parking, and the entire experience makes it well worth the expense. I would literally fly back just to eat here again!

There was about a 20-30 minute wait. The staff was very friendly. Our server, Dakota, was amazing. He was super friendly and attentive. The buffet offered a huge selection. Most of what I tried was tasty, but that was fried/steamed seafood , including all you can eat snow crab legs. I did try the sirloin steak and mashed potatoes with gravy. Steak was just okay, but the potatoes and gravy were good. The fried chicken was bland! I usually get an ice cream cone to go. They had pineapple and vanilla swirl. I did not like it. I should have just stuck to vanilla only.

The buffet is small. When I say small I mean SMALLLL.. for $60 per person I just dont feel like it was worth it. Our waitress was so nice and took care of us very well. Great atmosphere. It was very loud though. So if you want to go there to talk this isnt the place for you. Lol. The food was marginal. The crab legs had no flavor. The cheesecake was .

SO GOOD WE ATE THERE TWICE !!! WORTH THE EXPENSE. The atmosphere was delightful and so pleasant. It was very busy but fresh food stayed constant. No rush to finish but a good rush to refill your drinks and check on you if you need anything. The customer atmosphere here is INCREDIBLE. We would literally fly from home just to eat at this place on Thomas St. Next time we will try Breakfast and Lunch at the other location.

Eat your heart out! There was a variety of food to choose from. Different seafood, grilled and fried, and the crab legs were great! Most the meat came right out without breaking.
The sides were delicious as well. The service was great, Michael was in and out filling our drinks and picking up plates as soon as we were done

If you love seafood and tons of it, this is the place to go. It is a bit pricey but the quality and amount of food is amazing. The crab legs were cooked just perfect and seasoned so well, you have to lick your fingers. I think there were 5 different kinds of shrimp and I really loved the red ones. The clams and scallops were cooked just perfect and found nice places on my plate. You need to save room for the desert bar, it was filled with a chocolate delight with chips and the cookies were fantastic. This is worth a stop over when you travel through.

We ate so many crab legs on the all you can eat buffet that I had calluses on my fingers afterwards!!
The food was good and varied. Plenty of seafood which was why we decided to eat there.
Dessert buffet also had plenty to choose so you know the kids will be excited after they get that happy plate.
The only thing that might be bothersome for some is the noise level. It was hard to hear my family at times but to honest I was there to devour crab legs not discuss the Florida Marlins.

We love trying fresh seafood buffets when in coastal cities and Capt Jacks did not disappoint! The buffet was very good and we loved the numerous shrimp options. It was also nice that you could chose to pay for crab legs with your buffet or not. The desert table was a bit lacking, but that was not a big deal for us. The atmosphere was very nice and clean and our server Nancy was excellent, friendly and attentive. We would highly recommend and will visit again.

After reading mixed reviews I was nervous. Our friend wanted to go for her birthday so we rolled along. Holy smokes the food was excellent! Lots of choices on the buffet and the crab was plentiful and perfectly cooked. Can’t wait to go back!
