Off the beaten path in Florissant! Large dirt parking lot, go inside the building and signs will guide you downstairs to Caps Pizza/Wild Horses Cafe.
We got a salad, garlic knots, and the Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza. All were fantastic! Service was super friendly. They don’t skimp on portions; we were stuffed after half our meal.
The view was amazing! We’ll be back when driving through!

We stopped here after hiking around the Florissant Fossil Beds since it was only 10 minutes away. Hidden gem! Gorgeous mountain view, cozy atmosphere, amazing pizza and coffee. I got the 12″ NY style and my partner got the 14″ gluten free crust. He said it was easily in the top three best gluten free crust he’s ever had. My 12″ NY style was also incredible, the crust was crispy and perfect. They have weekend specialty pizzas (my partner got the Wild West one and loved it). To get into the restaurant, walk around the left side of the building, when you see signs for Caps Pizza and Wild Horses Cafe you’re going the right way. The restaurant is downstairs on the right after you get into the building. Just follow the smell of pizza!
Definitely stop by if you’re in the area, it’s so worth it.

Great pizza with awesome views. The garlic knots were huge and delicious. The pizza was amazing. It came out quick and hot. Beautiful restaurant in the middle of nowhere but it’s worth the drive.

To be honest it’s actually a legitimately good pizza. The view is also top tier. The NY crust is delicious and the calzones is quite good. I’m not personally a fan of the fried chicken on pizza, but swap it out for grilled and it’s great.
Reasonably priced for what it is as well.
Very lucky to have this place close by.

Very good pizza! Worth the off the beaten path adventure. It’s in a retreat/lodge setting so we were a little hesitant going in, but truly the pizza was so good. The setting is very pretty.

This place has to have the best view out of any pizza place in the state. The food was amazing and I recommend getting the smokehouse pizza. The brisket was absolutely on point and the staff is very pleasant. I can’t wait to go back!
