A must go place close to St. Augustine! Went on an awesomely warm January Saturday afternoon and expected an hour wait (it’s worth it) but after getting a drink at outside bar and strolling down the dock enjoying the boats and scenery, our table on the deck was ready. All staff here are extremely friendly and attentive and our wait-person was amazing. Food was yummy, we got conch fritters, more drinks…Mayport oysters lightly steamed, blackened shrimp tacos and buffalo chicken sandwich with side salad. I will say the beautifulness of the weather that day made Caps more magical than ever. Maybe a little pricey, but the location is beautiful, vibe is great, staff is amazing … now all we need is to find our favorite meal!!!

This place completely blew us away. The restaurant is stunning and huge, with plenty of different seating areas to enjoy. Even though it was packed and we didn’t have reservations, we were seated within 15 minutes. While you wait, you can grab a drink at the bar, take a walk by the beach, or enjoy the sunset from their pier, which alone makes the experience unforgettable. They also offer complimentary valet parking, which was a really nice touch and made the whole experience even more convenient
The service was phenomenal from start to finish. Everyone was incredibly kind, from the hostesses to our server, who was attentive and consistently checked on us without being intrusive.
Prices are very fair considering the portion sizes, quality of the food, and the unbeatable waterfront location. Nothing felt overpriced
For appetizers, we had the tuna tartare and the smoked salmon bruschetta, both were absolutely delicious. I ordered one of the specials: grouper topped with a crab cake and lobster cream sauce, served with mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. When I say I devoured my plate faster than I should have, I mean it, it was that good. My fiance ordered the catch preparation (grouper as well), served with rice and curry with plantains. All the seafood tasted incredibly fresh, perfectly seasoned, and cooked just right
We finished with the key lime pie, which was the perfect ending to an amazing meal. Overall, this will definitely be one of the highlights of your trip if you’re in St. Augustine. We loved everything about our experience and will absolutely be back every time we’re in the city!!

We went to Cap’s on the Water around noon on a Saturday. There was plenty of parking but it was valet only. We were given a lovely table overlooking the water and had beautiful views with boats traveling by. We found lots of great choices on the menu and opted for the seafood gumbo with cornbread, she crab soup, Cap salad, and shrimp tacos with a side of Cap salad. Everything was served fresh and delicious. Both soups were very yummy and served hot. We selected shrimp tacos with grilled shrimp, although there was also a choice of blackened shrimp. They were just perfect and mouthwatering. The Cap salad was excellent with cranberries, walnuts and other yummy veggies. We would definitely go back here again.

We were afraid this place might value atmosphere over food quality, but we were wrong. The cocktails were handcrafted and the food was absolutely fantastic! Everything we got was delicious. Will definitely be back. The old fashioned were spot on. We loved the herb crusted flounder, and the tuna special was knock out! Even the creamed spinach was yummy. Wish we would have had room for dessert

Caps has been my favorite for probably 20 years – from when I was a college kid at Flagler to today, when I live several states away and only come back for work. The menu has changed over the years, but the view is still perfect. You will not find a better view in North Florida. The service wasn’t great last Mon night at the outdoor bar (lots of phone usage), but the next two nights (inside bar, then seating area) had wonderful, attentive service. Food was great, and I want to compliment whoever came up with the holiday drink that has a rosemary sprig – SO GOOD without being sweet. I also tried something new: On the app menu, there’s a tuna dish that is served on little squares of slightly fried sushi rice. The wasabi is no joke. If you aren’t a big wasabi person, you need to pass. But if you are, you’ll love it. Glad I had a drink nearby.

By the name of the restaurant, one can tell that this outfit is located on the waterfront. Some diners indeed arrive in this watercraft. The decor is authentic, and the ambience is romantic. The team members from valet parking to hostesses to servers are pleasant and attentive. The wines are decent but not overpriced. Seafood dishes are fresh and tasty. My favorite tonight is the side dish of creamy spinach, which is delicious and satisfying. A very nice place indeed.

We had a great experience at this restaurant. The snapper fish in coconut salsa served with coconut rice is exceptional! The local beer and mojito really enhance the flavor of the fish, and the key lime cup finishes off the meal. We were lucky enough to get a table next to the water and watched the stunning sunset and dolphins play. The music is very soft and unobtrusive, and the restaurant is quiet, despite more than half the tables being occupied. The service is excellent, and the staff is polite and friendly. There’s plenty of parking. We paid $135 for dinner, but it was worth it. Highly recommend!

The restaurant itself is beautiful and the food was amazing. Letting people wait inside and have drinks on the dock is a brilliant idea that made the wait time seem like nothing. The staff was friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable about the menu. The next time I’m back in Saint Augustine I will certainly eat there again!
