So I’ve always loved this place. When I first heard of Capriotti’s years ago, I got hooked and kept coming back. The old slaw-be-joe, cole turkey, the Bobbie, the capastrami, they were all packed full for a reasonable price back then. Sadly, I think I’ve finally reached my stopping point with them. They have great sandwich concepts, but you don’t get anywhere near your money’s worth if you don’t have some sort of coupon to lessen the price.

I ordered 2 sandwiches, the Italian sub was fine and tasted pretty good, but the other one was the Cole-turkey sandwich and the coleslaw was very rotten. I couldn’t eat the sandwich and the rotten taste and smell made the entire sandwich inedible. This makes me question the freshness/quality of the other ingredients if the employees were unable to catch such an obvious mistake. That being said, the service was actually pretty good and the staff was friendly.

I’m really trying to write this review without using profanity because of how good my pastrami sandwich was. Ever tasted something so good that a single tear escaped your eye? It’s that good. Don’t get anything else. If you know you like pastrami, then get a giant sandwich or like 5 smaller ones and eat them in one sitting (or two sittings, have some restraint you pig). Last meal on earth? Eat here. Only got 20 minutes before going to work? Blow off work and spend your day here. Get their pastrami. The end.

I ordered a 18in and 10in Wagyu French dip. I was not impressed. I love French dips and that was the worst. Our meat was dry and had a bit of a burnt taste. That was my first one eating at that restaurant, probably my last.
