Capriotti’s is one of my favorite sandwich shops. I am lucky enough to have a Denver location close to my new home and I also frequented the location in South Scottsdale, AZ when I lived there and enjoy that location still when I visit.
This review is for the Denver location. It is very convenient for me and I love quite a few of their sandwiches. They have a line of premium subs featuring American Wagyu roast beef and thise are my go-tos.
My favorites are:
– American Wagyu French Dip featuring Prime Grade Wagyu Beef from Snake River Farms topped with melted Swiss cheese, mayo, and a dash of black pepper & served with a side of hot Au Jus sauce for dipping
– Slaw Be Jo, which features Prime Grade American Wagyu Beef from Snake River Farms, coleslaw, provolone cheese, Russian dressing, and mayo.
I also really like the Capastrami featuring hot pastrami, melty Swiss cheese, crunchy coleslaw, and zesty Russian dressing as well as their line of cheesesteaks.
They have a Bobbie which is like getting a Thanksgiving meal in sandwich form – interesting concept although I haven’t tried yet. I will be back regularly and have joined their rewards program to get some freebies now and again.
I often come here with my brother and we order 2 medium sandwiches and go halfsies so we can sample more of their offerings. They are good enough to be on my rotation and so I will be visiting regularly and exploring more of the menu.

Got a coupon in the mail for $10 off two large subs, so I finally went in myself instead of just eating Capriotti’s from catering platters or friends. I had no idea a “large” was basically the size of a human arm. I walked out carrying the bag with both hands like I was in a grocery‑shopping montage, two giant baguettes sticking out.
At $23 a sub, it felt steep at first — until I realized each one is basically two Subway footlongs. I ate half on Friday, the other half on Saturday, and the quality difference is night and day. Subway tastes like dog food compared to Capriotti’s.
I liked it so much I went back on Sunday and snagged one on my way to the stadium to see the mighty Broncos send those cheese heads packing.
That’s three days in a row of Capriotti’s, and I’d do it again. Big portions, great flavor, and worth the price.

This place has the best cheesesteak sandwiches. The quality of meat being used is definitely noticeable. Their fries also have the perfect crunch and seasoning, so I could eat them on their own! If you come around lunch time, there is a little bit of a wait, but its not bad at all for the quality of food.

Good stuff. Sandwiches made well combined the taste and flavor and made it easy to eat. Sometimes you get a great sandwich and it’s all over your clothes but Capriotti’s found the balance. Will definitely will repeat.

Ordered chicken salad but for some reason I got a salad with “chicken crumble”. I wasn’t expecting the chicken to be so dry. The greens, other toppings and dressing were good. Probably should have ordered a sandwich instead.

Service was good. But the food I have mixed emotions. Although very tasty, the portion is embarrassing. Once I filled my sandwich with the meat they gave, I ended up tearing apart half of it as it was just bread left over. Needless to say I feel jilted. This leads me to believe the small portions served in a $24 sandwich is at management direction as no employee would ever serve this to a customer right? Review update: changed to 5 star as the owner did reach out and was empathetic and I believe whole heartedly wanted to make it right. As I did not accept any offer from this store, I feel they genuinely strive to take care of their customers. Too many “reviewers” in the Google universe are dishonest and just looking for a handout.

Visited Capriotti’s on a Saturday around 12:45 for lunch. Not to busy and we were able to find a table without issue. Order station is close to the front door and the two registers are very close together – cramped if there are several people in line. Menu is well done and not over the top. We got a couple of cheese steaks and a roast beef sandwich. Food came out quick and was fine but nothing to right home about. Note the hot cheese steak is HOT and not for anyone looking for a ‘little’ heat. Knocking off two stars for the stuffy entrance and just okay cheese steaks. Not sure we’ll be back to this shop.

Decent DTC sandwich shop…. Ordered the meatball sub and the fries. The meatball sub was quite a mess as you can see. Don’t know how a sandwich served for eat in is covered in all angles with sauce. They forgot my fries with my sub so didn’t start making them till after. They were good though, basically super thin steak fries (like the thicker ones they serve at Texas Roadhouse)

22$ for a large pastrami. Woo little much… Until you get it. Totally worth it. Delicious, giant, and full. Can fill up 4 people. 2 more likely when you’re my size. Highly recommend, and can’t wait to go back!
