Came for the first time this week wanting a classic hoagie style sandwich with turkey and provolone (which unfortunately it looks likes the iconic Hoagie Haven downtown isn’t making so well these days) but glad I tried Capriottis out. It hit the spot, was the right mix of meat, cheese, greens and toppings. Bread didn’t overwhelm either- sometimes it’s too dry and thick and you can’t taste the filling, this was perfectly balanced. Just a nice reliable sandwich at a fair price. Staff was helpful and patient too. I’ll be back.

added Jan 29. Freezing inside. But food still good.

Quality of food very good. Bread was great. Ordered 8″ waygu french dip. could have definitely used a little more cheese – could barely taste it. Dipping jus was very good and right amount.

Seating. 2, 4 tops at front were spacious. but the 3, 2 tops down the narrow corridor with the open kitchen were too tight…doable but not comfortable for a relaxing eat in experience. $17 with bottle soda.
I will definitely return.

Stopped in for a casual dinner at Capriotti’s — the sandwiches were tasty and made with fresh ingredients. I especially enjoyed the balance of flavors in my sub. Service was quick and the atmosphere was relaxed. A great option for a laid-back evening meal.

Cheesesteak was pretty good, far from “America’s Greatest Sandwich”, but I found two hairs hair in my food. One in my fries and another in my sandwich. They only had one person working on a weekend.

I ordered a plant base turkey hoagie and received a dry sandwich that has real meat and not the plant base meat. I bit into the sandwich and realize that the sandwich was made with real meat and not the plant base meat. I am a Vegan and haven’t eaten meat in over 8 years. Now I have a terrible headache due to this. I called to speak to the owner that was not there and spoke to someone who’s said his name is Stayjae. I complained to him and all he can say is that they have new people and the employees do not fully understand. He offered me a refund I informed him that this is not okay and I will like to speak to the owner. I sent him a picture of the sandwich. This is not ok with me I know that mistakes happen but the employees that worked there and serve people need to be trained and know the difference between real meat and plant based meat. I will never eat from this place again bad experience.

Heard about the local new addition to the Princeton Shopping center and wanted to give it a try. The decor is beautiful and the staff is very nice. I had a special request of no mayo on my Bobbi sandwich and took it home to find mayo on it. Luckily I drove back and had it replaced with a new one that seemed to have less turkey on it. It was mostly roll and stuffing very little turkey. This medium sandwich was $14 and although the turkey was tasty, sure not worth it.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop in Princeton, and I can confidently say it’s a fantastic addition to the local dining scene. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that immediately set the tone for a great experience. The staff here truly go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Special shoutout to Jimit Dharia, who did an excellent job ensuring our order was handled perfectly, and Reginald Jackson, whose friendly and professional service made our visit even more enjoyable. It’s clear that the team takes pride in what they do, and that level of care really shines through.

The food at Capriotti’s is what makes this place stand out. The menu is diverse, offering something for everyone, from classic subs to unique creations you won’t find anywhere else. I tried their signature sandwich, The Bobbie®, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. Featuring slow-roasted turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and mayo on freshly baked bread, it’s like Thanksgiving dinner in sandwich form—comforting, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. Every ingredient tasted fresh and high-quality, which is something I always appreciate in a sandwich shop.

Another standout was their Wagyu Cheese Steak, a luxurious twist on the classic cheesesteak. The tender Wagyu beef paired with melted cheese on an Amoroso roll was rich and indulgent without feeling overly heavy. For vegetarians or those looking for plant-based options, the Impossible™ Cheese Steak is a fantastic alternative that doesn’t compromise on flavor or texture. It’s great to see Capriotti’s offering options that cater to different dietary preferences without cutting corners on taste.

What impressed me most about Capriotti’s was the attention to detail in every aspect of the meal. The bread was soft yet sturdy enough to hold up against hearty fillings without falling apart—a small but important detail that shows their commitment to quality. The portions are generous as well; you definitely get your money’s worth here.

Speaking of pricing, while some might find it slightly higher than your average sandwich shop (a meal typically costs $15-$17), I believe it’s justified given the premium ingredients and portion sizes. You’re not just paying for convenience—you’re paying for a thoughtfully crafted meal that feels like it was made with care.

The ambiance of the shop is another highlight. Located in the Princeton Shopping Center, Capriotti’s offers a clean, modern, and inviting space that’s perfect for both quick lunches and casual dinners with family or friends. While it operates as a fast-casual restaurant, there’s a sense of pride and professionalism here that elevates the experience beyond what you’d expect from a typical sandwich spot.

If I had one small critique, it would be that during peak hours there can be a bit of a wait since everything is made fresh to order. However, I’d much rather wait a few extra minutes for food of this quality than settle for something rushed or pre-made.

Overall, Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop in Princeton is an excellent choice if you’re looking for fresh, flavorful sandwiches made with high-quality ingredients. Whether you’re craving something classic like a turkey sub or looking to try one of their more unique creations like The Bobbie®, you won’t be disappointed. The combination of great food, friendly service from people like Jimit Dharia and Reginald Jackson, and a welcoming atmosphere makes this place stand out from other sandwich shops in the area.

**Pro Tip:** If you’re visiting for the first time, definitely try The Bobbie®—it’s their signature item for good reason! Also, don’t hesitate to ask the staff for recommendations; they’re knowledgeable about the menu and happy to help you find something you’ll love. Arrive early if possible—it can get busy during peak hours!

Capriotti’s has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Princeton!!

I had such a great experience at the Capriotti’s in Princeton Shopping Center! As a vegetarian, I’m always looking for sandwich shops with flavorful meat-free options, and Capriotti’s really delivered. I ordered the vegetarian sandwich, and it was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and packed with flavor — the bread was soft and warm, and the veggies tasted crisp and fresh. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and made sure my order was just right. I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I’m craving a hearty vegetarian sandwich!
