I revisited Capriotti’s and ordered the same sandwich I originally wanted, just to experience how much different my experience would be. The addition of bacon on the cheese steak was phenomenal!!
The fact that there were customers waiting in front of me, and customers coming in behind me sealed the deal on my necessity to add Cap’s to my list of “Grinder Spots”.

Why did I receive turkey???
This is absolutely unacceptable!!
Additionally, there were 3 guys working, all with long hair! Only one of the men had their hair covered. What is going on??

I just bought The Bobbie on door dash, and its the best sandwich I’ve ever eaten. Jam-packed with meat and all the essentials for this sub. They didn’t skimp on any part of it. I opened the sandwich upside down and initially thought there was no bottom part of the bread. To my surprise flipping it over, they had made such an enormous sandwich that you have to squish the roll together. The taste was nothing short of a thanksgiving dinner. The way all of it blends is magnificent. I normally don’t review places I door dash since I haven’t been inside the store yet, but this sandwich had me reaching for my phone to give it a 5 star after the first couple bites. I can’t wait to come in and try more from this establishment.

I had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. We decided to try the ‘Thanksgiving’ sandwich and an Italian combo, which we planned to share amongst our group.
The Good
The bread was truly outstanding – fresh and perfectly textured. When the flavors came together, the sandwiches tasted really good.
The Not-So-Good
My experience took a negative turn when I bit into a rather sizable turkey bone in the ‘Thanksgiving’ sandwich. While it indicates they use fresh turkey, it’s a significant safety concern, particularly when sharing food with children.
Beyond that, the meat-to-topping ratio was consistently disappointing. For sandwiches priced at over $20 each, we found them to be disproportionately filled with toppings and very little meat. At this price point, I would expect the sandwiches to be generously loaded.
Overall
Despite the delicious bread and good flavor when properly balanced, the combination of the high price, meager meat portions, and the unsettling discovery of a bone means we won’t be returning.

Way more than just a sandwich shop. Reminds me of a classic New York Deli where every meat is prepared on site. But with a positive, friendly, “we got you” attitude. I am hooked. Chicken cheesesteak, Wagyu cheesesteak and “the Bobbie” (perhaps the most innovative and amazing sandwich of them all). It’s like Thanksgiving dinner in your hands. Thank you, Capriotti’s– I am a big fan! (oh, the fries rock too…)

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. Dont let the fact that it’s in a gas station plaza fool you. The price and quality of what you get is top notch. We got “The Bobbie” made with ACTUAL turkey breast. Not deli turkey! delish cranberry sauce and stuffing. Chefs kiss! So yum and only $10 for an 8inch. The grinder roll was fresh and it was made hot to order. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was open, bright, and clean. This will def become our new spot for a great grinder.

One of the best tasting sub shops I’ve been to. I order for work lunches and my coworkers love it. The variety of subs can’t be beat. Order is always accurate and James, the owner, bends over backwards to accommodate everyone’s preferences. Had an issue with door dash and he got right on the phone to help me with my refund. Employees are superior in customer service and prices can’t be beat! You try it once and you’ll go back again and again!

Jim and crew have brought something really special to the Enfield CT area. It’s my go to food place locally. The Philly cheese steaks are heavenly as well as the rest of the menu. It’s been kinda my secret spot. I don’t want to share it with the entire world, but if you are a business or just looking for great food Capriotti’s should be at the top of your list. A great owner who really cares about the paying customer. Give it a try because you won’t be disappointed. Five stars across the board.

I was looking for a place to cater sandwiches for a family gathering following a loved one’s funeral and decided to try Capriotti’s. I’m so glad that I did! The owner himself reached out to me and handled my order. He was extremely friendly, accommodating, and proud of the business. When I went to pick up the following day, the staff were also very kind and helpful. They even surprised me with a beautiful bouquet of flowers, due to the reason for my order, which was so touching and totally beyond what I would ever have expected.
Our guests were very impressed with the sandwiches themselves. We tried a whole variety and each one was delicious. The servings were very hearty, and everyone left satisfied.
I would absolutely recommend Capriotti’s to anyone, and I know we will certainly be back!

I love the Capriotti’s chain so I was utterly shocked and disappointed that this location seems below the standards of the brand. The girl at register didn’t greet me; I actually started the transactional exchange by asking her about the grinder sizes. They then made a big deal about changing the cheese as one of the guys says provolone is their cheaper option. Fine. I know that Capriotti’s is on the higher end of grinder pricing but when I got home to see I spent $23 on mostly bread and mayo, I just wouldn’t want anyone else to have this experience. The bread to meat ratio is absurd! Buy at your own risk!
