Quintessential South Jersey shore pizza and cheesesteak shop! If you’re visiting and looking for a good representation of the genre, this one will work fine. We took our cheesesteaks to enjoy on the beach – a walk over the bridge and a few blocks. The rolls were fresh, the meat, cheese, and onions all went together well. Friendly local business.

We have gotten pizza from here many times and it is always excellent. However, this time we ordered subs for delivery and we were a little disappointed. Although the jalapeno poppers and the ‘Little Ricky” were very good, the cheese steaks had very little meat. In fact, we took the meat from one sandwich and added it to the other, just to make it acceptable. Also, be forewarned, they charge a fee to use a credit card, which is legal, but they also charge a fee to use a debit card, which is illegal in New Jersey. However, some businesses get away with it by running the debit card as a credit card. My advice, stick with the pizza and bring cash.

This place is underrated IMO!! I’m not a huge pizza person – i.e. pizza needs to be exceptional for me to come back and order more (and to leave a review!). I ordered a plain slice one day and came back many times since then! The pizza is amazing – it’s got a uniquely wonderful flavor and the crust is GOOD. I just ordered pizza somewhere else and was immediately inspired to leave a review since it did not compare at all!

Capri has the best pizza on the island! The positive atmosphere, and friendly customer service is a bonus. We order from Capri on a weekly basis and they never disappoint! We were visiting from Baltimore and looked up the best pizza places in the area. We ended up finding Capri in Ventnor, NJ—and it did not disappoint! We took a whole pizza to go, and even though we didn’t eat it fresh, it was still so good. You could tell it would’ve been amazing straight out of the oven.
While we were there, I had a chicken cheesesteak and also tried their chicken sandwich on focaccia bread—both were delicious. Super flavorful, and the focaccia was so soft and fresh.
The people there were so friendly, which just made the whole experience even better. We honestly loved the place. I would gladly make the drive back just for the pizza. Definitely a must-try if you’re in the area—or even if you’re not!
