Yum! Got a bag of subs, tuna, 2 Italian mixed and a peppered ham & swiss for $50… could have easily fed ten people, with fresh and delicious food. Love me some Capri!

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a long time now, I’m talking at least a couple of years. I’ve always heard great things about their salads and subs. So I ordered a roast beef sub with some macaroni salad the other day. And I’m embarrassed to say that I never realized it was almost directly across the street from one of my favorite diners. I was always under the impression that it was further away from my hometown then I thought. I guess that was why it took me so long to get there. Anyway, like I said, I ordered a roast beef sub and some salad. I really do consider myself to be a sub sandwich connoisseur – I’ve tried Submarine sandwiches from here to about a 75 Mi radius , and almost all of the sub shops in between over the years. I honestly don’t know what all the uproar is about. This review is not meant to be detrimental. The sub and the salad were fine – nothing wrong with either one of them. But I can get the same , and better, a couple of different places that come to mind, oven roasted roast beef at those places as well. I don’t eat anything else on Subs. And to make another note, a couple dollars less expensive also. I probably won’t go back because there are too many other comparable choices for less money, but I am glad I tried it

Not a good meal yesterday, apparently they don’t listen carefully. I ordered a prescuito sandwich with Italian dressing and provolone and potato salad. I received macaroni salad which I tossed only mayo and sprinkled with carrots and celery for over three dollars. The sandwich was dry with nothing on it and the sub roll was dry and stale. I don’t think the new owners are paying attention. Never ever had a bad sandwich before in fifty years.

So at one of the sites I work at they recommended Capri Italian Deli for a good lunch! Absolutely delicious and glad I only got half a loaf. This sandwich is almost 2.5 lbs. I sadly couldn’t finish it. But damn I will be returning.

The best subs in the area. I have used them multiple times to order sub platters for parties/events, the feedback from attendees are great, always asking where I got the subs from.

Ever since I was a lil boy Capri Imports Italian Deli has been making delish food and selling authentic Italian products. Everything they make is amazing, sandwich are well worth the money. This company is a staple in the Schenectady community, stop by and you’ll know why.

I found this deli using Yelp. The meats are good quality, the bread is fresh, and while the subs are a little on the lean side… for $6.95 it’s a fair price. Add-ons are limited (no black olives, no artichoke hearts) but if you want a simple affordable sub, this is the place.

Both the Gazette and TU have recent articles regarding Italian Import / Deli stores dealing with generational and business changes. Old favorites are bought, remodeled, have product changes or closed. Hence my first trip into Capri Imports. It’s on Broadway, with on street parking. Capri is a treasure hunt with many products tightly packed in a limited space. Navigating through their narrow aisles can be a challenge. There are many signs behind their well-stocked service counter listing several items. I was greeted cheerfully and attentively. My first purchases were the usual suspects; a hunk of Parmigianio Reggiano, Prosciutto, and Mortadella. The Prosciutto and Mortadella were sliced and wrapped perfectly. Kudos. I will gladly revisit and purchase other standards.

The absolute best deli. Twice the sandwich of the next best delis in the area, 5 times the sandwich of the bad ones. If you get a sandwich here and put it next to a sandwich just about anywhere else, there is no comparison

Capri probably has the biggest subs I’ve ever seen. Get your sub on the Italian bread, it tastes amazing! Everything is always fresh, and the prices are very fair for the amount of food you end up getting. Service is always quick and friendly. We love this place and will always be coming back.
