Cappy’s has always been a hometown favorite. Definitely worth the drive even if you aren’t in the Alamo Heights area. Known for seafood and cocktails, just about everything on the menu is good. I had the Potato Crusted Halibut with Julianne Vegetables. It was killer, highly recommend. Cocktails were spot on and the bread is delicious. Only room for improvement would be desert. We had the Key Lime Pie which came with a kiwi gel. It was decent but far from the best Key Lime Pie I’ve had and the Kiwi was an odd addition.

It’s my first time enjoying Kathy‘s restaurant. I went with a large group of family. Service was impeccable. The waiter did not miss a B. It was very impressive. I had a hamburger and french fries, which was absolutely delicious. The restaurant was decorated beautifully. The parking was perfect ample parking.Enjoyed every minute of it. You can go wrong at this restaurant.

This pace deserves all the stars! Wait staff is friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, well groomed. The atmosphere is cozy and casual but still has that upscale feeling. Like an old yacht club. We have never had to wait for seating with our without a reservation. The alcoholic beverages are fantastic. I had a blueberry mojito, not on menu, it was perfect. The food is excellent I have loved everything on the menu. My favorite are the brussels sprouts, I get them every time. Ended with sweets and coffee. My favorite was the coconut cream pie. It was rich, creamy, and silky. The absolute best cream pie I’ve ever had. The gentleman I was with ordered the apple pie. It was loaded with layer upon layer of thin sliced apples. Both could be ordered and shared. The prices are high and the portions are small, except on the desserts and sides, but you are paying for taste and flavor when it comes to appetizers and main course.

Everything was top quality and our server Justin was very kind. It was our first time dining here and they took care of our desserts as courtesy. My husband and I had the lobster thermidor, it was complimented with grilled asparagus and a lobster potato mash. The sticky toffee pudding tasted heavenly, the mixture of saltiness from the toffee and sweet/creamy with the blue bell vanilla ice cream was such a perfect balance. The crème brûlée was creamy but not too sweet. If you have a chance to go to this place you should, I know I’ll be coming back. Amazing food and amazing service 🙂

Went to Crappy’s Restaurant in San Antonio for lunch and had a really great experience. The food was delicious especially the sandwich, which was easily the highlight of the meal. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared. On top of that, the service was absolutely top-notch friendly, attentive, and fast without feeling rushed. Overall, a very enjoyable lunch and definitely a place I’d recommend if you’re in San Antonio.

Sean was a great host. He was the perfect representative of Cappy’s. Very welcoming and attentive service, he was well informed related to the various menu items. The food was delicious. I was very impressed with the dirty rice. The texture of the rice was perfect, the aroma of various herbs and spices excited you before you could taste a bite! The overall atmosphere encouraged you to stay. I look forward to my next visit. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

I’ve been on the hunt for sticky toffee pudding ever since coming back from Scotland. And boy, did this one hit the spot!! We went for lunch on Monday, and this place was busy! While everyone seemed to be opting for salad, we felt decadent and ordered the lobster grilled cheese and mustang (? I think that’s what it’s called) chicken. Everything was fantastic. Our waitress was so kind and patient despite how demanding the crowd was. So happy to have stopped by finally!

Tell me why this is my favorite restaurant in the ‘09. Everything was amazing. We went during lunch and I ordered the lobster grilled cheese and fries. So happy we were able to grab a reservation. We sat outside on the patio. The oak trees create so much shade that sitting outside is no problem with the south Texas heat. I enjoyed the lobster grilled cheese sandwich. I would totally re-order this.. The Service was impeccable and the manager came by to check on us to see how things were going. That was a nice touch. We ordered the key lime pie for desert. The pie was absolutely phenomenal. Will definitely come back again, the whole ambience of the neighborhood is so great to see.
