It is a nice place to meet and enjoy some pizza with friends. I’ll suggest you to order the Greek salad. It was my 1st time ever ordering salad with pizza, but I was surprised of how well they’re together.

I went twice within the week I found out about this place it was so good, and just happened to be just for Pizza as Takeout.
I’m in the midst of moving with my sister and after a long day of work from building and organizing everything, I just wanted a nice big pizza. This spot was local and had good reviews so I didn’t even think twice. I found it cool that not only did that have 2 listed ‘options’ even though you can really get anything, but they also do Chicago OR New York style!! You don’t see that everywhere..The service was amazing and truly helpful both times- we were recognized during my second return.
Both times I got the Cappy, Chicago style and both times it was perfectt. Like so yummy, they know how to cook a dang pizza, and consistently. Now I have a new local favorite. Prices are a little high, but I’m okay with it.
!!! UPDATE: Just had to update from my last review because I finally dined-in and the food was so consistent and still amazing. I think even better because it was straight from the oven but seriously, such a great pizza. We also got a greek salad to split between 3 people and ended up getting 2 orders because of how much we loved the dressing. Truly a gem, and my fav pizza spot in town!

I believe this may be the best pizza in town. It’s definitely New York style. The crust was perfect, the cheese had the perfect pull. I will be going back to try their Chicago style pizza next. 10/10

My Dad was up for pizza for dinner, so we looked around the Riverview area and chose Cappy’s Pizza. The exterior of the building was a clean, modern brick facade with decking on the upper levels giving it a bit of a European / New Orleans feel. The interior was full of classic agricultural and automotive signs from yesteryear and was well-lit.
To start our meal, we ordered a large Greek Salad (see picture) to share and we were not disappointed – it was delicious! We ordered 3 pizzas to share (see pictures) – 2 NY Customs and a NY Cappy. We enjoy thinner crusts and found all of these options to be very good – wood-fired edges with plenty of sauce and toppings.
A rock-solid pizza shop that I would recommend and look forward to a return.

1st visit. Came because we saw an article online saying they were the best pizzeria in Tampa. The article did not lie. The Greek salad was delicious and the pizza was fresh, made to order, served hot and delicious. Everyone was super friendly and professional. Even the sweet tea was delicious. We will definitely return soon.

Cappy’s Pizzeria is a local chain pizzeria located in the Winthrop Town Center. They’re known for the Deep Dish Pizza. The decor of the restaurant looks slightly nostalgic, with old plates and antiques around. The service was attentive and good. They even bought a credit card machine over so our check out experience is much quicker.
The pizza here is good. The Greek Salad was offered to us at the beginning, and everyone liked the dressing on it. The New York style pizza was good, but the real specialty is the Deep Dish Pizza. Everything about the deep dish was very good: is soft on the inside and hard on the outside. Overall, would recommend this place for Chicago Style Pizza.

Cappy’s was a treat! As we walked up to the restaurant, we loved how the building looked and how it had a good amount of outdoor seating. As we entered, the restaurant we got hit with that delicious old school pizzeria smell. It felt like we stepped back in time to an old school pizzeria up in New England. It was dark with lots of dark wood and people just everywhere. You could tell this place was going to be good. Ok, let’s get to it! There will be a wait but that should be expected for a good restaurant with good food. We ended up ordering a Chicago style deep dish Veggie pizza and a New York style pepperoni with extra cheese. Both came out hot and looked amazing. My first few bites of the New York style Pepperoni pizza was ok. It tasted good, but then, as I kept taking more bites, I noticed something magical was happening. It got better with each bite. I started to get a wonderful flavor dance party going on in my mouth. Yes! This pizza ended up being very good. Same with the deep dish, it seemed to get better with each bite as well. The crust of this deep dish was cooked perfectly, and the flavor was on point. Now, to make our amazing pizza experience better, we stumbled on some unique beverages. I got a delicious white stout called Fluffanutter, and yes, it was everything I thought I might be. My girlfriend got the IPA called Super Freak, which she thought was very food. The service was very good and they kept the bustling crowd satisfied. Can’t wait to try again. If you like a comfy, friendly location that is perfect for a date or for a family dinner this place works!
