This was our first time here. It will not be the last. It’s kind of funny finding it because it is inside a living center. The restaurant is very nice inside. Great atmosphere. Big outdoor fireplace. The food was fantastic. She had the maple pecan salad, and I had the hot meatball on Focaccia bread. I couldn’t finish it. It was delicious and on the top of any meatball sandwich ever. I can’t wait to go for dinner next time!

During a recent visit to SUNY Brockport to visit a student, we decided to try this restaurant afterall we love trying new places. After reading several glowing reviews, we were very excited to check them out. We were surprised to find it located within a retirement community—something that might be important for first-time guests to know.

While the outdoor patio offered a pleasant setting, with a beautiful fireplace, grapevines with actual grapes growing on them and the view of the wooded area, the indoor dining area unfortunately lacked ambiance. It felt more like a cafeteria than a restaurant, with bare walls, no décor, and acoustics that made conversation difficult. A resident of the facilities did mention that the prices were a bit high, and in hindsight, we agree. The portion sizes did not quite justify the cost.

That said, we want to commend the staff. Our server was exceptionally friendly and attentive, and the live music added a genuinely warm and enjoyable touch to the evening.

At long last, we had the opportunity to dine at this restaurant, situated within the Chateau at Heritage Square senior living community. The location didn’t faze me; I’ve dined everywhere from street stalls in Vietnam to Michelin-starred establishments in the US, and my sole criterion is the quality of the food.

Our dinner comprised the Classic Calamari, Arancini, Beer Battered Filet, Friday Fish Fry, and Devil’s Mousse.

Starting with the appetizers, both the Classic Calamari and Arancini were delectable, with the Arancini standing out as one of the best in Rochester. The house-made red sauce complemented the creamy, salty Arancini beautifully.

For the entrées, we had the Beer Battered Filet and the Friday Fish Fry. While I didn’t sample the Fish Fry myself, my husband found it delightful and said he’d return for it. The Beer Battered Filet, on the other hand, was a dish I could rave about: garlic beer-battered filet with port wine mushrooms and demi-glace, accompanied by mashed potatoes and the vegetable du jour (broccolini). The filet was generously portioned, perfectly cooked to medium rare, and every element on the plate was vibrant, flavorful, and delicious. This is a dish I’ll undoubtedly return for.

Dessert was the Devil’s Mousse, a chef’s house-made creation that was sweet, velvety smooth, and light. We enjoyed it so much that we ordered an extra to share with our neighbor.

Finally, our server, Maryanne, was exceptional—professional, friendly, and welcoming, she made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Thanks to her and the delightful food, we had an amazing dinner at Cappelleti’s.

We went for our anniversary dinner with family members, and the large dining room was nicely decorated. The service was great and friendly. Food choices were many. Everyone had a good meal. The only comment was that the shrimp scampi was strong with lemon flavor. The dessert choices were wonderful and all made in-house. So we didn’t resist!

Wonderful menu with a focus on fresh. House made ricotta used in multiple dishes. Roomy dining room with cozy bar to the side. Good prices for the quality. Friendly staff.

It’s wonderful to have a restaurant that’s a cross between casual and fine dining. We tried the soup if the day and French onion soup. Both served hot not lukewarm like most restaurants. The cheese in the French onion was nicely melted. Also had the calamari that was cooked properly, not chewy and it was seasoned well. I had the chicken piccata over homemade linguine, so tender I didn’t need a knife. If you like lemon than this is a great dish to order. My son had the chicken parm and added a meatball and sausage. Extremely large portion, very flavorful, best I’ve tried in awhile. We took desert home with us to split…chocolate mousse and tiramasu. Both delicious and perfect ending to an excellent meal. Our server Michele was very attentive and helpful with making choices. She made sure our ice teas were full without asking. Highly recommend this new treasure in Brockport

I’m rating this place 5 because I see the potential. It’s a beautiful space with outdoor seating and an outdoor furnace. The interior decor can be improved as well as the lovely landscaping . A little more color with ground cover or flower beds . I can see myself there with lots of family and friends because it is so spacious.
I had chicken picatta and my husband had the seafood diablo. I think that they can be more customer conscious with the pricing and servings to attract more customers. Will I return? Yes. I can see this place becoming quite popular

The menu says that it can accommodate most gluten free needs.

I ordered chicken parm with gluten free pasta. I requested the chicken to just be a chicken breast with cheese melted on it. I order this at numerous restaurants without any issues.

My server stated that the cook said this wasn’t possible despite the fact that they have regular chicken on their menu, so it struck me as pretty ridiculous and lazy.

My family was excited about their meals so I just settled for a boring order of gluten free pasta because I didn’t want to give my server a hard time.

The pasta was not cooked very well and was tough.

I requested crushed red pepper from my server and when I shook it onto the pasta, the lid fell off and the pepper was all over my plate rendering most of it inedible.

I tighten the cap for the next customer so that they wouldn’t meet my fate.

My daughter also found her chicken French to be rather soggy and my wife was less than pleased with her shrimp scampi. Neither of them took their leftovers home.

Our bill was $99 and we would have been much more satisfied spending $40 at the local diner.

I will say, this experience was rather upsetting and annoying for someone with food allergies to not be able to get a simple piece of chicken and I don’t think that we will be returning again.

If you’re seeking a dining experience in Brockport, NY, that combines exceptional cuisine with heartfelt hospitality, Cappelletti’s is the place to be.

One morning, my daughter and I arrived at Cappelletti’s later than planned due to a minor shoe mishap. Despite our tardiness for breakfast service, the staff welcomed us warmly, and the chef went out of his way to prepare a delightful breakfast for my daughter. She was thrilled with the French toast he made crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and topped with just the right amount of sweetness. It was clear that the chef poured his heart into every dish, and his kindness turned our hectic morning into a cherished memory.

Cappelletti’s offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere, making it perfect for both casual breakfasts and special occasions. The combination of delicious food and genuine care from the staff makes it a standout choice in the area. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, I wholeheartedly recommend stopping by Cappelletti’s.
