Its a nice place, most things are good. Its just very cramped and the calzones are not good at all. But the pizza and Alfredo is delicious.

The prices are VERRY expensive but we all had leftovers that we ate for lunch the next day, so we kinda got 2 meals each.

Wow, this place is awesome! The food is great, the service is friendly and fast, and I really loved the atmosphere too. My husband and I brought our little boy up to Red River for his 5th birthday, and they gave him a dessert on the house, lit a candle, and sang happy birthday. We really loved it! We’ll probably go back tomorrow. Thanks for a great dinner

This used to be our favorite place to eat in Red River. We have been coming here for years. However, we most likely won’t be coming back.

We went on December 27th. We waited nearly 30 minutes for a table of 2 plus a high chair. We were waiting up by the hostess stand because there was literally no other room to be. There was a party of 19 before us and another party of 8. They were taking up all the room in the waiting area. One of the hostesses asked us to move as were up there with a stroller. We were standing off to the side against a counter so we weren’t in the way. When I said there was no room for us to go, one of the hostesses just rolled her eyes at me. That should have told me everything I needed to know how their customer service has plummeted.

The prices are absolutely insane. The mozzarella sticks are almost $18!!! $18 for 8 sticks. The entrees were around $30. $30!!! One of two things is going on here. Either (1) their prices are always this high which is ridiculous or (2) they raised the prices up during the holiday season which is even worse. Price gouging at its finest if this is the case.

My wife ordered the spaghetti and meat sauce and I ordered the smaller portion of the lasagna. Hers hardly had any meat sauce on it. My lasagna was like a small Stouffers type of lasagna. Not that quality but that size. Not much better of quality and definitely not worth the price.

The food quality and service has gone down drastically.

I’m attaching the menu so you can see.

Service was very fast. The spicy soup is very spicy ️. Salad was fresh. The chicken fettuccine alfredo was delicious. The lasagna was good. Kids cheese pizza was delicious per my daughter. The desserts were all good, especially the tiramisu & cheesecake. Place got very busy while we were there. Nice friendly atmosphere. Would recommend!

I was very impressed with the food we were served. I had the Torpedo Sandwich with onion rings, and my wife had the chicken sandwich with home cut fries. For portion size in a resort town, the food was reasonably priced.
The fries impressed my wife so much, she insisted I try them. The seasoning was superb.
I will definitely plan to go there again.

Capo’s is an Italian restaurant in Red River New Mexico. It’s right next to a ski lift and the Red River. We had a table that looked out to the ski run – green in August – and saw a deer grazing. Red River is a quaint Alpine resort village at altitude 8250.

The menu at Capo’s featured a good choice of standard Italian dishes. We shared a 13-inch veggie pizza, no cheese, and some garlic bread.

The garlic bread was okay but could have had more garlic. The pizza had a nice crispy crust on the thin side, and a nice light, fresh sauce perfect for summer. Veggies were mushrooms, black olives, grilled onions and colorful bits of sweet peppers. The 13-inch was eight slices and enough for me and my husband.

I should mention they also offer a gluten-free cauliflower pizza crust!

We didn’t order drinks or desserts, but the dessert selection was tiramisu, lava cake, lemon meringue pie and flan.

Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. A gal from Alabama with the accent to prove it.

While not spectacular, Capo’s is better than average, not too expensive considering it’s in a resort area, and family friendly. Our pizza and garlic bread came to $29 before tax and tip.

The pizza reminds me of hunt brothers, service was terrible. In my opinion if ur tables drinks run dry when the restaurant is at 30% occupancy it’a a shame , I’d give it one star but the pricing was decent

The positives….
Our waitress was great! The cheesy, green chile garlic bread was really good!

My husband liked the pizza. My daughter said it was better than dominoes pizza (which she hates for some reason) but she would have rather had a frozen pizza that she cooked herself.

Waitress made a fresh batch of tea just for my husband as there was only maybe one glass of tea left when we ordered drinks. That was nice of her to do. Otherwise, I was going to just order water for my husband.

My youngest said the chicken fettuccine was good. My oldest said the cheese ravioli was ok.

The negatives…

We were told it was a 20-25 minute wait but we waited over an hour. No apologies for the long wait. In fact when I checked in after 45 minutes I was treated like I was a bother.

I had the spaghetti with meatballs. There was a lot of watery pasta, a little bit of sauce and two tiny meatballs. I’ve had better spaghetti and meatballs at Olive Garden for much cheaper, to be honest.

Overall, the food was just ok.

This was not our first time to eat here but over the years it’s consistently just been ok food. I like to support local businesses and don’t like to give negative reviews but this place is just not for us.

No vegan or vegetarian options I asked about certain ingredients in their items on the menu and they didn’t know any of the ingredients that were served in certain dishes also didn’t ask the kitchen or anybody that knew what the ingredients were. It felt like I didn’t matter that I had a food allergy. And felt like I was bothering them asking all these questions instead of helping me get a meal with my family so I sat there with no food while my family ate around me.

Was being rushed out, service was slow, not very friendly was just sitting there and waiting for us to eat and leave so we got out of there way. Attitudes were extremely negative and not very welcoming. Tried charging us for prices that weren’t specified at beginning of ordering because they didn’t even know the price change themselves. Most definitely would never waste my time and money there again! My Alfredo sauce was not fully cooked, drinks were flat, etc.
