Server is very friendly and knowledgeable. He even brought out a comp dessert dish for my birthday. Would definitely come back here again to try other dishes.
Capone’s Italian Cucina is absolutely fantastic! The atmosphere is cozy and elegant, and the staff are friendly and attentive. Every dish we tried was delicious — the seafood pasta was full of fresh flavors with a rich, savory sauce, and the grilled fish was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and tender inside, paired beautifully with the herb sauce. The Margherita pizza was fresh and aromatic, with a soft yet crisp crust and vibrant basil leaves. Even the bread and cocktails were outstanding!
From start to finish, everything was perfect — great food, warm service, and a lovely ambiance. Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who loves authentic Italian cuisine!
Yes one goes to a restaurant for food but I can cook some mean Italian myself!! At Capone’s it was not just the food that blew my socks off but the ambience, the service, the personal attention…everything.
We had a friend visiting from out of town staying at a hotel in Huntington Beach so we decided to do the drive and take her here.
The reviews were good so it was an easy decision but the reviews do not do any justice to this place. I’d give it 20 stars!!
Taylor is a rock star! Whilst service standards are dwindling all over the country, people like her make it enjoyable to dine out. I can write more about Taylor but you go check it out for yourself. Ask for her as your server. I’m sure other servers are just as awesome and that is a big compliment to the owners who, I’m sure spend a lot of time training these wonderful people.
Now compliments to the chef for a meal for royalty. The presentation, the taste, the portion everything excellent.
The calamari and bruschetta were excellent starters.
We had a 16oz bone in ribeye. Done perfectly MR as requested. Served with truffle fries- my guilty pleasure!!
The pasta à la vodka is the best I’ve ever tasted. Even better than mine
The grilled veggies made an excellent accompaniment.
I wanted to have everything on the dessert tray but my wife stopped me the tiramisu and crème brûlée- both home made were plate licking good.
Great drinks from the bar and a good selection of wine rounded off the evening and we took some leftovers home and they made for a good steak and eggs for breakfast the next morning.
Congratulations to the owners. I can see your passion come through in every bite and every interaction.
Ciao!
Ordered the daily special of short ribs with mashed potatoes and wow was that good! Perfect in every which way, mashed potatoes were buttery and the short rib was tender and very flarful. I always have to try these Italian restaurants lasagna. I was a little overwhelmed as it was such a thick cheese heavy dish. Very dense. The sauce was really good and the little meatballs were very flavorful, just didnt finish all of it as it became to much cheese. Kind of surprised I am saying that as I love cheese. I was glad we ordered the daily special as that ended up being by main dish. My friend ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and he ate every bite of it, nodding of approval which each bite. The bread with oil and vinegar was a nice touch to go along with our meal.
Shot out to our waitress who was so amazing. She truly enjoys serving people and making sure they are properly taken care of. She had such great pride i what she was doing and was proud of it! I wish I could remember her name it was something like Eloise? Short haired middle aged women. I hope thats her name so she can get some recognition. Just outstanding service!
We will definitely be back if in the area! Thank you!
Hands down, one of the best Italian restaurants we’ve been to, and trust me, we’ve tried a lot. Way better than Mamma Ds.
We ordered the chicken marsala, It was very good ! The sauce was rich and flavorful, chicken was tender and the spaghetti pasta. that came with it was awesome too.
Then we got a pizza too, and that was banging as well. Crust was On the mark, cheese wasn’t over the top too much, Proper Italian vibes ! just how I like it.
Only thing, the tiramisu was a bit too sweet for us. Like, it was still good, don’t get me wrong, but we’ve had better ones elsewhere. Still finished it though, haha.
Service was decent, the staff were friendly and all, but you can tell they struggle a bit when it gets busy. Took a while to get our order going but they were smiling and trying, so no biggie.
Overall, Capones is a awesome. If you’re looking for proper Italian food, this is the spot !
5 stars from me!
