For lunch today we had the supreme pizza, thin crust, and it was by far the best I’ve ever had. The sauce, cheese, meat and vegetables were plentiful and delicious.
Our beer choices were the Black Sheep beer and G Man beer. Let me say, they were delicious!
We will definitely be back for the pizza and beer, but we are also looking forward to enjoying a great steak there.

Capone’s Speakeasy is such a unique gem at Lake of the Ozarks! The atmosphere is fun and stylish with that perfect speakeasy vibe, and the cocktails are some of the best you’ll find anywhere at the lake. The food is creative, delicious, and pairs perfectly with the drink menu. The staff is welcoming and makes every visit feel like a special night out. If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind spot for drinks, dinner, or a night with friends, Capone’s is a must-visit!

Maybe it was an off night. We were told we could get a reservation at 5pm. Whole place seemed caught off guard with our reservation. So…the lights were bright. Like you’re being interrogated bright. There’s no table cloth or even place mats…but maybe there are later. There’s an echo in the because the walls are cinder block, and the stereo”system” is a single speaker somewhere plus we were the only people in there. I love pairing wine with pasta but the wine list is non existent plus we got a white instead of red when we ordered Conundrum (which is not a great wine to begin with…but best available). Staff worked very hard and food was pretty good….it’s just difficult to eat when the lights are that bright and there is an echo from every sound you make. We will try again at a better time than Saturday at 5pm…and maybe they can just have a corkage fee and encourge people to bring their own wine if they don’t want to stock a cellar.

The specialty cocktail came in the same glass as our water, no attempt made to make it enjoyable to look at, and the taste was uninspired as well. We both got pasta dishes with “handmade” fettuccine- the fettuccine in both dishes was way too thick, glued and slumped together- not al dente- not cooked properly! My $26 shrimp had 6 medium sized shrimp in it and the only flavor the sauce had was LEMONS! Their soup was watery beef stock with a few bits of vegetables in it. Salad was ok, but the blackberry? vinigarette had no flavor at all. The bread was ok. Total bill w tax and tip was $87. Not a cheap meal and for that price it should have been MUCH better!

Without a doubt, worth experiencing it for yourself! First, hats off to the chef(s)! The food was FRESH, flavorful and not bogged down by butters or oils. I had the Tortellini (hand-made) and that was memorable. The spicy tomato soup was from scratch also and made me crave a grilled cheese. The salad had fresh greens and dressing was a from scratch ranch (had dill in it I belive) and it was a great flavor too. Second was our server, she was new but very attentive and friendly, she was doing a great job and worked hard, never did I see her standing outta sight or hiding behind a phone. Third, the gentleman who I belive is the owner was very nice. He didn’t hide the admitted markup on wine (we purchased) but was a bit cheeky about it only being bought through him. (It was half price at Hyvee and Aldi’s) but it was worth supporting a local business and we are definitely going back and this time ordering the steak (in advanced per website) to try it for ourselves! Don’t forget your password!!

We went for mom and Dad’s anniversary with our aunt and uncle. The experience was fun and friendly and the food pretty good. Mom didn’t get in her fancy orders but they were still able to provide. The Braechitte was yum! The brownie at the end was yum. Mim said the Ribeye had great flavor and my uncle said the mai mai tuna was pretty good.
The bum part was for the price you pay, the food didn’t match up even with the side salad, soup, and brownie. It was good… Trust me. Dad got the Italian beef and was very disappointed. My dad doesn’t pick at food and half the sandwich was left behind. He believes they made it too early while they were making the other plates so it was under a warmer. The dip was luke warm and the sliced beef still has the grisle in the center so it wasn’t shaved quite right. The bun was cold so the cheese didn’t stay melted.
Overall, it was a good meal, the waitress was a bit new and made a comment that bummed me out. We wanted to pay since it was mom and Dad’s anniversary and her comment was “you must be rich”. Sad face.. yes, we work hard and no we aren’t rich but yes, we love our family and covered the meal.
I would suggest going for the experience, but be prepared to spend a pretty penny but take your time.. the cost covers your time there. It was fun.

What a neat little find in Eldon. The scratch-made pasta was fantastic — head there solely for that! We had the spaghetti and meat sauce and chicken fettuccine Alfredo. Very reasonable prices for dinners ($15-20 for most except steaks)

Not only great food but excellent hand-crafted cocktails, too.
We stayed at the bar for dessert and a post-dinner drink, chatting with the owner. Definitely worth a repeat visit. We will order ahead to have the steak next time (24 hour notice required for steaks).

Definitely recommend trying out this hidden gem, if you haven’t already! We’ve been several times now, and have enjoyed it every time! The drinks are fantastic and locally crafted. The food is delicious and will have you wanting more!

All of it is good. All of it. The soup and salad could stand by themselves as a meal and I’d be happy. The sandwiches are super tasty and the steaks are drool-worthy! I had the ribeye last night and it was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had…. No exaggeration.

Also, you absolutely want to leave room for dessert!! Trust me. The bourbon ice cream and cheesecake martini are both items that I now crave! Haha.

Do yourself a favor, grab the password and make it a date!
