I’m telling you, these guys are just good old school people. The food is fresh and delicious, the chit chat is fun while you’re waiting, and they really care to give you a good bite.
We had the Italian Beef Sandwich (DO NOT SKIP THIS), the Chicago Dog and the Pastrami Sandwich. All of it was absolutely delicious. And I’m posting photos/videos, but don’t judge the pastrami from my photo, I literally got the last sandwich, and I promise you that although it was a little light on meat, it was packed with flavor and fresh.
We will 100% be back!

I stopped by this food truck by chance and I’m so glad I did. I had the pastrami sandwich which was perfect in every way. My wife had the Chicago dog and she said it was better than many hot dogs we’ve had while actually living in Chicago. The proprietor is a friendly and engaging guy. We’ll definitely be back!

We came across Capones Chicago Eats and knew we had to stop…and we were not disappointed.
We both got the Italian beef. Sweet peppers for the hubs and without for me. The only way to get it is wet. Not dipped, not moist. But wet. Like drip down your arms with juicy goodness wet. lol Trust me on this.
They have outdoor seating which I think is awesome considering they set up in a lot at the corner of Holly Springs Road and Penny Road.
They make their own beef for the sandwiches so it is never frozen. Overall it has good flavor but we both felt like there was something missing that we just couldn’t put our finger (or taste buds) on.
All I know is we will definitely be going back soon!

Best Chicago dogs and pastrami in NC! He’s a 1 man operation so sometimes the wait can be a tiny bit long. Well worth it though!! I won’t get a hot dog anywhere else!

Great Food Truck! Something about a tight wrapped sloppy dog that I love. The Chicago dog IS the best Chicago dog I’ve ever had. Bun was perfect! Flavor was amazing! Superb! He makes a mean Carolina dog as well.

I moved to Holly Springs about three years ago from South Florida. As much as I love living here, I really miss good deli food. I’ve been passing by Capone’s for a couple years and never thought to stop. I’m so glad I did, I had the best New York pastrami sandwich. They call it meat candy here and it truly is. It’s the perfect navel pastrami for sandwiches. I came with my toddler thinking he’d only have a couple bites, he ate half the sandwich. I have to go back and get something else, so I got the Italian beef. OMG it was incredible. The owner Andy is a really nice guy, so easy to talk to and loved just sharing life stories with each other. Perfect meal with my son on a summer day before the pool. Thanks for the lunch and great memories

If you haven’t been to Capone’s Chicago Eats food truck in Raleigh, NC, you are missing out. For months we would pass by Capone’s and say, “We should try that food truck sometime.” And that was that. Finally a few weeks back we stopped by, and I am so glad we did. The first thing I tried was the Italian Beef sandwich. The sandwich was absolutely delicious. While there, we noticed they sold “Pizza Puffs”. I asked what they were and the man who owns the truck explained it. I then told him about “Pepperoni Balls” and how I grew up in northwestern, PA and I miss them so much. Pepperoni Balls were a local thing up in Erie, PA. He asked for a website to check them out, I told him, and he said he would make them and to come back. We went back that next Friday, but he didn’t have them yet. Instead I tried a Pastrami Sandwich. I’ll be honest, that was the best Pastrami Sandwich I’ve had in a long time. I can’t choose which I liked more- the Pastrami or the Italian Beef. Anyway, he posted on his Facebook page that he would have the pepperoni balls Saturday. We stopped by and sure enough he had them. He added his own kick to the pepperoni balls by putting the sauce inside the ball and he added prosciutto to the pepperoni ball. Although this wasn’t exactly the way they were served in Erie, they were pretty darn close and absolutely delicious!! Now I’m going to struggle every time I go back to his food truck. Do I get the Italian Beef, the Pastrami Sandwich, or the pepperoni balls?
He also sells hot dogs, I haven’t tried them, but my other half has and he said they were delicious. If you are questioning pricing, I would say for a food truck and the amount of food you get, it’s fair pricing.
Stop by Capone’s, you won’t be disappointed!!

Real deal Chicago Eats. Chicago dog through the garden was spot on, and the Ditka sausage was spicy, crispy on a delicious chewy roll.

First time visit to Capone’s today, being from Chicago and growing up eating Italian Beef’s I can honestly say they do Chicago proud. The roll was just the right consistency to be soaked in juice but still hold together, the meat was to die for, tender, thin and cooked just right. If your missing your Chicago eats definitely the place to visit, next time I am getting the dogs which are my second favorite.
